Great video, those complaining to fast, you can slow down video in settings. She gives the stitch counts in the beginning. Hook size depends in your yarn size ( usually give on yarn label) And it’s not a DC it’s a EDC extended double crochet. Lots of videos on that on KZbin. This video is a sample of how to do the pattern. It’s up to you to incorporate it into a garment, scarf, whatever.

It would be nice if you'd type out the stitches on the screen for us to easily follow by. Example..ch9,dc 5, sl st, ch3..such as that so we can follow it fast or slow...most other youtubers that do these kind of examples that are from other countries do it.

Once again - those are NOT DC (Double Crochet) stitches. They are ELONGATED DC stitches - there is an extra step. I've been castigated for being so particular about this, but - it's confusing to beginners or inexperienced crocheters who learn BAD HABITS - and then find they can't read test instructions or diagrammatic instructions - because of being taught these PERSONAL little anomalies that are basically incorrect - but called by existing stitch names. I've been crocheting for 70 years - and still use my grandmother's stainless steel British crochet hooks - and have all her crochet books dating as far back as the 1940s - both text and diagrammatic. And those books originate from Japan, Turkey, Ireland, Britain, the US and Canada. NONE of them - including the instructional books - have the stitch noted above that the demonstrator is calling a DC stitch. So beginners or inexperienced crocheters should be aware that these PERSONAL quirks or additions - are not in any crochet book they might find. The unfortunate thing about it is - because they are beginners or inexperienced - they don't know enough about the craft to spot when this is happening. For those of us who have learned the stitch names and how they are constructed and WHY they are named as they are - we can spot the discrepancies and anomalies without a problem. So I would say to take these tutorials as an inspiration - more than anything carved in stone. If you have friends who have been crocheting for years - always ask them to clarify - there is a huge community of long-time crocheters who enjoy passing the craft on to new folks.

I am not seeing "an elongated dc stitch." They look like regular dc stitches. He is not pulling the loop up high in the stitch.

This is correct.. she is doing a double crochet. These are clusters done in a different way and they are beautiful. For those that feel that she is going too fast, you can slow down her speed as slow as you need it to be. I don’t understand why people are critical of another’s work. I think she does beautiful work and I look forward to her every day. If you feel the need to be critical just click out and move on to another video. Please be kind.

She is doing an extended DC…you can find a video on it or just know what you do is start with a regular DC then just pull through the first loop then do a regular DC. She is doing 2 of these together

Do you know how to manually slow the speed of videos here? In case you don’t, I wanted to suggest you try it because it made my frustrations go down so much during tutorials! 😊 When you are watching a video that is moving too quickly or is difficult to see because the demonstrator holds the work at an angle to the camera, tap the screen to stop the video. In the upper right corner of the screen you’ll see a symbol like a little gear wheel. When you tap it, a menu drops down that allows adjustment of the speed the video will play. I tried this demonstrator’s video at 0.5 speed and it made her movements much clearer to me. To leave that menu after you have adjusted to the speed you want, just tap elsewhere on the screen and start the video again. I hope this helps you explore more videos in a way that supports your crochet craft, and please remember that you have to adjust the playback speed to Normal again when you finish using this tutorial. Otherwise other videos will play at the speed you adjusted to and not automatically at Normal. Good luck!
@lindaromar28245 ай бұрын
@@graelincameron7148 I was going to suggest the same thing. You can slow or speed up and replay however many times you want at whatever speed you want.
@Bunefoo4015 ай бұрын
You can slow speed by clicking on the gear in the upper right corner …. To -.75 … -.50 … -.25
@darleneschannel58195 ай бұрын
You can select the play back speed yourself by selecting the “cog” on the upper right corner of the video. I’ve done it many times myself on tutorial videos.

Trump picks employees based on "central casting" criteria. Vance _looks_ the part, and is as flexible as any actor with the lines he is willing to say for his paycheck. Wooden delivery, but as long as he takes direction, and doesn't challenge the authority of the Director, he'll do.
