Maybe in 50-100 years some union on much fairer terms might form where every country will keep their own military just in case and be something like the EU but on the BAlkans. So a Balkan team might form to play show matches. It is more tha obvious Western Europeans and Russians and Turks arent meaning well and only look to exploit the Balkan markets. It would be good to add the Bulgarians and Romanians so Croats and others wont be threatened by Serbian numerical dominance. I see no problem with all republics having their own military and leadership and total confederate model and full autonomy like the Cantons in Switzerland. I see the future and only salvation only by uniting the Balkans- not just Ex Yugoslavia into a multi- country confederation with lots of autonomy between the countries and no border disputes. Time needs to pass doe so these generations poisoned by nationalism should be long fogotten and also US and EU need to lose their tight control.
