God is human construct of the mind, nothing more, it doesn't exist outside the framework of the human mind and as such does not exist in our shared reality. Only between people of the same delusions is god shared as a real being. But it's existence, just like people who think the earth is flat, or those who think they are of a sex they obviously are not by evidential physical appearance and non objective reality, just as them it is not real but merely a delusion that is formed by your minds inability or refusal to accept reality for what it actually is.@@jungletiger1900

Maybe late to the party but better late than never. Thank you Christian and Lina for sharing your journey with us. Breath-taking vistas and incredibly beautiful drone shots showing us how fabulous Norway is. One day, I hope to see some of these views with my own eyes, it's long been a dream of mine. A final mention though to Lina, a beautiful memory at kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZPPZ2aiadKcerc but my palms were sweating watching this; very, very brave and then you climb to the Gates of Hell, fantastic memories for you both. Thank you.❤

I wish I could give this two likes! With over 50+ years of hiking, climbing, paddling, etc. behind me, I wold like to make a few comments: 1. For once the title wasn't clickbait. This really was the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen and I have lived in and travelled to many different places. 2. I was momentarily taken aback when I saw a map, compass, and two people who obviously knew how to use them. I lost count decades ago of the people and groups I had to lead out of the backcountry because they couldn't navigate. Even more distressing was the number of people and groups I had to lead out of the backcountry that were carrying maps, compasses, and GPS receivers, but who didn't know how to use them. 3. I was honestly saddened to see that even a paradise like Norway has buffoons and idiots who are inclined to shoot holes in signs. Don't misunderstand me...I own firearms and carry one continually. But I can control my destructive urges enough not to spray the landscape with gunfire. Morons who shoot holes in signs are exactly the kind of creatures that should not be allowed to own or possess a firearm. 4. It was interesting to pick out cognate words of English-Norwegian. I had actually forgotten that both English and Norwegian are Germanic languages. At one time, speakers of Olde Norwegian, Olde High German, and Olde English had no difficulty communicating with one another. 5. One point that was clearly illustrated is that on long, arduous trips, minor conveniences are most important, yet simultaneously are least able to be accommodated because of weight/bulk restrictions. Our two intrepid trekkers were continually complaining of sore legs, yet they were toting along a tent that looks like it could sleep six. Instead of bringing along lightweight titanium mugs/cups they carried heavy wooden drinking cups. Before some know it all readers pounce on me for my statement: yeah, I got it. Bring along what makes you most comfortable. But don't bitch about the weight and/or sore legs. 6. Potentially contaminated water was mentioned. Really, no water filter weighing next to nothing? Leave behind the squad-sized cooking pot, get an Evernew titanium one, and bring a water filter. 7. She said she "could live there." Without the least bit of exaggeration or being dramatic, I could too. I am retiring next year, have no family, no children, no attachments, and all of my ex-wives have been paid off. My only problem-besides Norway's emigration policies-is one of money. My retirement will only be about US $5.000,00/month, and I'm not sure that's enough to live in such an expensive place as Norway. I would even be willing to learn the language and be an English language teaching assistant, but if I don't have enough shekels, I can't live there. 8. I think I would find some other convenience to leave behind and bring along a few hundred grams of extra fuel to heat my bathwater. The notion of wallowing around in near freezing water causes my testicles to ache. 9. If you look up the word "charming" in most dictionaries, you would see a picture of our two hikers. This is quite refreshing.

Sure it is nice in summer. Could you handle the winters? Or would you shoot yourself with the gun you carry continually? There are countries where you don't need guns and don't have bad winters. Mate they are just as beautiful. Do some more research.

Thank you for the nice and very honest comment! We appreciate it greatly! Regarding point 4, the English-Norwegian similarities are very funny. If you visit the Shetland Islands it is very apparent that the two languages are closer than one should think. It feels like hearing Norwegian but it's all English words. Regarding point 5, I don't hope it felt like we were complaining. We just thought the trip was tough and that leads to sore legs - not that we wanted to change anything! We were very focused on this being a trip for enjoyment, not a survival course, so we did bring items that weren't weight optimized but just increased the overall enjoyness of the trip (such as an aesthetic wood cup compared to bringing a plastic one). Again, thank you for the great comment! Hope you get to live here one day!

@@Oscarcat2212 : I have lived, not just visited, in Idaho, Wyoming, and Illinois to name a few. I don’t think the winters in Scandinavia are much more brutal than what I experienced living in those aforementioned places. As for carrying a firearm, I am a retired Deputy Marshal and retired law enforcement types tend to go armed. I am also a certified basic pistol and basic rifle instructor. I am certified to teach Personal Protection Inside the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home as well as being a Chief Range Safety Officer. People with those types of teaching credentials also tend to go armed. Shoot myself because of a bit of nasty weather? Not hardly. I am nothing remotely close to being the suicidal type. I do suppose that there might be a reason to take my own life that I haven’t considered yet. In that case why would I choose a firearm and provide the spineless and the mentally infirm more reasons to blame an inanimate object for human death or injury? My home state is currently considering the use of nitrogen gas as a means of capital punishment. While I do not support the death penalty I can see why N2 might be chosen and why it would be an “attractive’ method of commuting suicide. Nitrogen is an odorless colorless gas that accidentally kills quite a few people worldwide each year. Nitrogen asphyxiation is completely painless and people being poisoned don’t even realize what’s going on. They just quickly and quietly lapse into unconsciousness. The result is a rapid, clean, painless death. You should try it sometime, preferably sooner rather than later. Do it as a favor to your parents who would forever be freed from the frequently embarrassing task of explaining away the antics of their idiot child.

@@flightsimvids2105 Thank you sincerely for your input. In many locales I know I could live well on that sum. But I was concerned primarily with income taxes. I have no form of any deductions or any mechanisms to lessen my tax burden. But after hearing your input, I think I will revisit the situation. Thanks again.

This brings back memories of my own hiking trip there, starting in Å and finding my way to Bunes, Horseid and Kvalvika beaches. Bunes is the one that stays with me the most, camping on the beach with no else there. There was an enormous whale skull on the beach at Bunes and various Russian detritous washed up including an old safe. I spotted several whale vertebrae there and on Horseid too, huge things. It was mid summer and hovered around 6C. The thrill of standing on top of a ridge and looking out to sea on both sides of the island chain in daylight at 1am will stay with me forever. One thing I learned on that trip was no matter how good those mountains look from below, its nothing compared to if you get up amongst them for an elevated view. I saw almost no one up in the actual mountains when I was there, I felt I pretty much had the environment to myself. The footpaths were few and the maps really weren't that good so navigation was a bit tricky a couple of times.
