J-Hope almost quit BTS but RM convinced him and JK was crying so hard that made him changed his mind. JK almost wanted to quit to because he misses his mom but Jin's love made him stayed. Jin was really a revelation for me. He must have had this "innate" talent in him and Big hit was able to uncover his talent. Jin came from a well off family and during their training days he would randomly treat all the members to dinner (especially JK whom he always feed as he was the youngest and he was the oldest in the group) using the credit card his mom gave him when went to training. And he was a caring member like he drove JK to school and cooks for all the members same with Suga. I do believe this 7 boys were really destined to be together.

All of them have lived together for about 10 years since 3 years before their debut, and now each has their own house, but when they have schedules, they are known to return to the house where they live together and stay together. K-pop groups usually live together in the same house for several years, train and schedule. However, when the groups become famous and make money, the members usually have their own houses and become independent. It is quite rare among K-pop groups to live together for a long time like BTS. According to Jin, they stay together about 360 days out of 365 days. :)

Jungkook aka jk was picked by 7 big companies in south Korea..he was often asked why did he rejected big companies and enter big hit ..he said he saw a video of Rm rapping..he found it so cool that he wanted to join big hit ...he joined but bcz of he was so young he used to missed his mom and dad .. they lives in different city...jk used to cry a lot and in a time he decided to quit bcz he was missing his mom a lot ...then Jin's love made him stay ...Jin used to bought jk to his home and used to feed him his mom's cook ...Jin used to go everywhere with jk ...Jin used to pay for his meals ...he and suga used to drive him to School ...Jin raised him like a parent..this is why jk is really close to Jin ...suga also played a dad role for jk ..Jin and suga both said that they feel like Jungkook's dad who got big infront of their eyes ...and suga also said that he wants a child like Jungkook in the future and suga never scolds jk...Jin said that he babysit jk ...j hope also wanted to leave but rm said that BTS can't be BTS without you and jk also cried hugging j hope for not to leave ...V's friend was supposed to do audition but V got selected ...jimin was the top student in his academy almost didn't make to BTS ...v convinced a lot to select him ...Jin was casted from the street ...suga and Rm did audition...all things around them were tough but they did not give up ...they were meant to together and fullfil each other

"They just started on 2013, but they're still strong as it's ever been" BTS has been active as a group since 2013 and unlike other groups they are active as a musician too. This year was the longest gap they ever been from releasing albums. They often release albums for like 3-8 months. They are always active on social media and there's always an update about them from the company, like sometimes just posting pictures or announcements. I don't think 2 weeks without an update has ever happened. And also their love for ARMY too made me stay. I feel like i'm close to them like bestfriends.

Jungkook was 13 when he signed with Big Hit in April of 2011, and 15 when BTS debuted in June 2013. Joon, Yoongi, and Hobi all signed in 2010, then came Jin, Jungkook, and Tae in 2011, and lastly, Jimin in 2012. (They signed in that order). Koreans count age a little differently - babies are 1 year old at birth, and everyone becomes another year older at new year, rather than on their birthday (although they do celebrate birthdays of course), so someone like Tae (V), whose birthday is 30th December 1995,:can be almost two years older in Korea than they would be in SA (although age is counted like we count it, for legal purposes in Korea - so drinking age is 19 I think, and that is 19 as we count it, not “Korean age”).

The song debuted number 1 billboard hot 100 and got number 1 on the rolling stones chart and that makes BTS the first and last Korean artist to top this chart because this chart have ceased publication 2 days ago) *they are now the Artist with the most No. 1 hits on the Hot100 this decade (6) *They performed 2 songs in the global citizen festival. *And they also entered the Guinness world records hall of Fame. *They hold the title of the most streamed group in the world and the most streamed Korean artist with 21.3 billion streams) *They are the most awarded artist in the world this year with 136 awards (Taylor swift and the Weeknd in 2nd place with 44 awards) *Jin released a new solo song for a Korean drama a couple days ago and it's now the 2nd solo song with the most #1 on itunes in 2021 with 92 countries. Regarding the military service in korea: as far as I'm aware, its mandatory to all males with the exception of specific individuals who help the nation's worldwide recognition (like music prodigies or athletes). This is what has made BTS's enlistment so debated since, arguably they bring the most recognition to South Korea. People have been contacting the Blue House of the country so that BTS would be one of these exceptions, and many koreans agree. In fact they pushed the age back from 27-28 to 30, mainly because of Jin's enlistment. However BTS have always made it clear that they want to contribute to their country and complete the mandatory military service when the time comes. It still is a debated topic wether they will all leave together and come back in 2 years, or if they decide to each go separately.

Yes 7 of the members live together...they have been living together for 10 years ...of course they bought apartments ...all the members have apartments except Jungkook bcz Jungkook bought a single living house worth $7.89 million dollars..jk also had 2 apartments one he sold it and one gifted to his big brother recently...all the members have house but they don't live there...they live together and still share rooms with 2 members...now V Jin rm parents live in the same city with them but Jungkook and jimins parents live in busan ...suga and hobi parents also live in their own city ... members said that they want to live together even they get old ...they want to see each other kid playing together in the same place ...they are really like a family

You need to go back and listen to old songs mvs. And yes, there is a storyline they created for each album. Then watch the Bulletproof Eternal Animation. It documents their walk through the songs and life that was happening up to Boy with Luv - off of Boy in Love earlier. So much to learn and research. You will cry when you watch the animation. (even though they got a lot of hate for WAR OF HORMONES it is one of my favorites because it is typical of boys to experience this. V/Tae shines through and is awesome.) I'm biased toward all of them for their unique giftedness. Love RM brain, Jin's stupid jokes and yelling, J-Hope's sunshine, quiet thunder, and genius of Suga, cuteness, and dance of Jimin, unpredictable V/Tae who will say anything and I laugh - he and RM are most alike on the extreme ends, and of course our Makenae voice and little rabbit JK who is protected by his hyungs.

Not really 3 years but 1 and a half year of military service... it's compulsory for every male from 28- 30 age have to attend their military service.... Although Soekjin is already 29 and will turn 30 soon but only because of the power of BTS the president allowed him to attend military service at 30.... Love your reaction! I'm also a South African army. RM is my bias too, but I love all the boys. They're all phenomenal and bring something unique to the table. I always enjoy watching other people discover the magic that is BTS. I recommend you check out some of the members solo tracks too sometime throughout your journey. The rap line cyphers series is also a great one to check out if you enjoy rap. Also check out the rap line's solo mixtapes including RM's Mono playlist/EP. Vocal line has some cool solo stuff too.

This video simplified the recruitment of BTS. This is a breakdown of what happened - BTS was supposed to be a hip hop group. Other than RM, Suga, Jhope, there were other rapper trainees such as Supreme Boi & Iron. Jhope (who was recruited as dancer & sub-vocals) felt out of place among the rappers that he started learning to rap from RM. But Boss Bang Shi Hyuk decided to change the concept of BTS into an idol group. Many rappers left (Supreme Boi stayed as a producer till this very day). Boss lied to Suga about not having to do much dancing because he was desperate to keep Suga in BTS. With an idol group, a Visual is needed. Jin was scouted off the street for that purpose. And they need a Main Vocalist. JK was recruited for that. Both JK & Jin reported to BigHit on the same day. JK was also identified as a dancer & he received training for it. Then V was recruited. V had auditioned with a rap song (he wasn't prepared because it was impromptu). They accepted him & he was supposed to rap. But after V went to BigHit, he confessed that he really wanted to sing. Jhope offered to swop his Sub-Vocal position with V. Jhope continued his rap training & debuted as a Rapper. V debuted as a sub-vocalist. Even though Jhope do not hold an official position as a vocalist, he still sings & his rap has a unique singing quality. Jimin was recruited 9 months before debut, a very short period during that era where idols trained for 3-10 years. I'm not sure if they started scrambling to recruit a dancer after Jhope left, because 2 Main Dancer positions are rare & the audition which saw Jimin being picked was held crazily late & Jimin was also subsequently in real danger of being cut from the team.

@@petrichormusings0613 many many things about BTS were not heard of previously. Like when Jhope left, no Army knew when it happened. It was only revealed many years later. Admittedly the swop thing is a rumour. But the conjectures surrounding the swop were pretty clear.

This isn't quite true. V was not ever suppose to be a rapper. Hobi has been rapping with BTS since 2010, he was never supposed to be a vocalist. Bang PD also didn't lie about the dancing to Suga. He originally, back when it was still a hip-hop group, told Suga he wouldn't have to dance, because at the time that was the plan. Suga jokes now that he was tricked since the concept changed. But he was the one who decided to stay, he had the chance to leave. It's just a joke. J-hope also does hold an official vocalist position. He debuted as "main dancer, lead rapper, and sub-vocalist" from the beginning.
