My son and I went to this one last summer. Thanks to "Adventures With Roger". We went to about 5 different waterfalls in one day in this great state. People don't realize how many things there are to see in Indiana. We had a little difficulty finding Cave River Valley.

I'm glad you got to check it out! It is a hidden gem for sure.

The “second cave” I think you mean what was known as Endless Cave. It’s actually really close to River Cave. Next revine to the west and upstream again and you will run into it. I’m 42 and was lucky enough to have camped in that valley all the time in the 90’s. It was private property so one of the few places we could go as kids and not worry about park rangers or law enforcement. That did lead to some problems though. Some people will never respect a good thing when they have it. I keep meaning to go back down there to see the difference. No road in the valley. No house I’m assuming. Haven’t been since the state bought the property.

Thanks! That is good to know. There are no trail markings and with it being pretty overgrown in a lot of areas, it's difficult to find things. There isn't much left of the remaining structures other than some foundations and a small concrete structure near the water. Unfortunately the state doesn't seem to put much love into this place but that does make a little more fun to explore.
