The most stunning feature of the region is the Trang An. Here, visitors can take a scenic 3 hour boat ride which meanders its way through towering limestone caves, lotus and rice paddies. The awe-inspiring landscape will leave you mesmerized.

Some foreign tourists ( mostly the westerners ) are money pinchers . They argue for 5 cents for parking . Some of them refuse categorically to pay because they are convinced that the parking is free and start to say stupidities to the parking agents . Last year one damned British guy said some disgusting words towards the parking agent , telling him why him and his family did not get killed by the American bombs during the war ? What a disgrace ! It's a real shame for the UK . I should answer that English guy why him and his family was not killed by the IRA bombs ? He was actually very lucky that the Vietnamese parking officer didn't understand English otherwise he could never leave that place in one piece . Last February I saw a white South African couple refuse to pay 5 k VND for parking at An Bang beach in Hoi An yelling at the parking lady that they are victims of scam because they are foreigners . I had to intervene and told them that everybody ( locals and tourists ) have to pay for parking without any exception . Like you said some foreigners with their big mouth try to intimidate the Vietnamese people for not paying any fees or fines . But they forget that the Vietnamese people never let the foreigners dictate their will to us . We are always friendly and welcoming to tourists , but we also know how to treat the bad visitors .

Really cool trip. And you said it just right-- "Be generous" if you can. Some visitors think that everything should be bargain bin prices or haggled in Vietnam, and they'll haggle over pennies even when it's obvious that the price stated is standard.

You hit paradise travel gold in nine bins what an amazing place who needs pools and TV's wow I'd fill the bath and look out at paradise all afternoon so cheap the lotus huts it was like being in the gardens of Eden (ofcourse not that I've been there 😂😂) no wonder it's booked out the food to wow friendly helpful people couldn't believe the tourists carrying over a few cents as if it's not cheap enough already you'd never get it cheap like there in aus the people have to make a living to thankyou for that amazing adventure

As a rule bugs aren't an issue unless you are in the countryside or on a waterway of some sort. We use RID Tropical strength repellent. Coming from Tropical Far North Queensland, Australia, where you get eaten alive, we find it the best. Have fun in Vietnam!!! You will love it 🥰🥰🥰

Greetings from the Queensland Sunshine Coast.... What a great down to earth vid showing your travels in Vietnam. Showing what to expect at the Hanoi train station was superb. Train Stations are always scary places in big cities but you talked your way through the whole procedure of catching the Ninh Binh train giving everybody a HEADS UP on what to expect. Very helpful.
