The Most Beautiful Tárrega Pieces

Francisco Tárrega was born on this day, 21st of November in 1852, so I decided to put together this little collection of my former recordings of his works, including:

Some of these videos were made during my trip to Siccas Guitars, there's one from 2020 and the last one is something I recorded for myself maybe a year ago, I didn't even do the repetition unfortunately, but it felt nice enough to include.

So, so beautiful! My mother, who went to heaven 11 years ago, loved Recuerdos De La Alhambra. She would cry every time she heard it. I asked her one time why she cried every time she heard it. She said she didn't know why. It just had that effect on her. Consequently, it is my favorite guitar piece of all time! (Though I do not have the same automatic reaction.) Thank you for posting these. They are ALL beautiful! And you play them with such exquisite skill!

It's kinda silly and vacuous to try to crown somebody as the best guitarist of all time, but I think Tarrega is my favorite of all time. Every piece he wrote is just so beautiful, and I struggle to find examples of such brilliant melodic work on guitar prior to him, much as I love many of his predecessors.

I have a Tarrega guitar. I really love it. it was made in 1964 in Sweden. it sounds really good. I haven't played classical music on it because I don't know how. I have played some Led Zeppelin on it however.
