It was really lovely to see your walk around Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. Thank you. It brought back many memories and made me feel quite nostalgic. I used to live in Suffolk and we would visit Aldeburgh/Thorpeness at least three of four times a year. That was a few years ago now though before I moved away from the UK. I’ve sat on that beach eating fish and chips many times 🙂

In the 17th & 18th Centuries was The Golden Age of Highwaymen & Pirates. Criminals themselves. Police-less Periods! No Constabulary. No Emergency Services.

Aldeburgh is certainly not one of them! Now just a mass of flashy cars and gawping tourists. I knew it well in the 1960s and 70s, but in this day and age it has changed beyond recognition. Such a deep tragedy................
