His ability "In Due Course" does proportional damage to the target based on their health (Like Demi in most Final Fantasy games), so his magic attack makes no difference. It does a LOT of damage to bosses or other high HP characters though.

I always said this in private too... His versatility in insane. I immediately called him the Chessmaster because he can just sit back and move people in and out of danger at will. Stop time is also super broken because your units are generally faster than the enemy, which means your faster units basically get a free turn. There's like 3 ways you can use him and they're all busted.

Quahaug can just be used for so many things and he has like 5 ways to cheese bosses. One thing I like to do is grouping up a bunch of enemies, using stop time, and reversing Fredrica so she can get a guaranteed max TP sunfall on 13 enemies. My favorite strat is just to have Quahaug use stop time and then reversing the boss every turn so the duration of stop keeps rewinding and the boss just can't do anything.

Late to the convo. Quick question: I was of the understanding that you can stop time and then turn back time a friendly character to unstop them. It didn’t work. I’m wondering whether you can’t turn back time a character on a character on Quahog’s first turn if they didn’t go before him because they didn’t actually have a turn before Quahog.
@wilhelmisaac2 жыл бұрын
Since his damage ability only takes 1 TP, you can use stop time and then damage an enemy twice before anyone can act. You can also pair him with Anna and Milo really well. Poison units with Milo/Anna, then have him cast stop time. A stopped, poisoned enemy will still take damage from both poison and In Due Course. It also basically gives every unit on the field 2 TP, which almost always benefits you more than the enemy since most enemies don't have any high TP moves. Example 1: Have Anna sneakstrike an enemy with her first action, then poison them second action. Then have Quahuag cast stop time. He gets 2 turns to cast In Due Course, doing MASSIVE damage (because damage is proportional). That plus poison usually kills any difficult units super quickly. Example 2: It also gives a unit like Ezana or Giovana the 2 turns they need to max out her TP and cast their ridiculously OP weapon skill move. Imagine starting a battle with all the enemies at half health and 60% of them paralyzed. Throw 2 magic bracelets on Ezana and she murders pretty much all the heavy units right out of the gate.

Well I have every character except the bandits, the second healer, and the golden route character. Also Accuracy definitely does matter on NG+. I have had many a Roland and Serenoa die after whiffing an attack. Rudolf misses the most so I gave him the Accuracy Bracelet but even WITH that he has less than base Archibald! Least accurate archer by far but he also has the most strength. I think all in all Archibald is the best archer since he has the most range and his commands are very useful. Rudolf has a hard time with accuracy and knowing when to use traps rather than shoot. Hughette just deals no damage and is just a debuffer. I still field all 3 when possible though.

Turn back time can be broken as well. The way you can charge someone in to do damage, and then pull them back giving them full HP, like having Roland charge in do damage and when he takes damage, pull him back resetting his HP. Also, it's fun if you use Erador's invincibility move, and when it wears off, use Turn Back Time on him and it will revert him back to having invincibility for yet another turn. so many cool combos you can use with his abilities. Or, you can Stop Time for 2 turns, unfreeze Medina, use her to give Quahuag more TP, where he can unfreeze another unit so you call can just go ham for free for 2 turns. Or can spam Reverse Space Time. Send units in to kill some enemies, use Reverse space time to pull your guys back restoring their HP and TP while leaving the enemies dead, and then have Julio use Inheritor to fully restore Quahugs TP so he can Reverse Space Time again. So many broken abilities. So many stupid things you can do with him.
@Bingbangboompowwham2 ай бұрын
The one thing to be careful of in the Erador example is that Quahog can go so fast that he can get 2 turns in for each one of Erador’s. So if Erador gets smacked and on Quahog’s next turn he doesn’t have enough TP to TBT him, you won’t be able to reverse the damage on his second “pre-Erador” turn. He’s also generally much faster than Julio so you have to be aware to keep some TP in reserve when a character is venturing into enemy territory.
@thoughtprism29632 жыл бұрын
Time Stop is why I think he's broken. All your other units with skills that trigger on not moving on their turn starting will still activate. Flanigan gets his health regen, Rudolph gets his accuracy, Decimal gets all his TP back, etc. And the turn count on enemy buffs will also still deplete. AND you can fire off like 2 or 3 In Due Courses and kill things as this is happening.
@pul0y2 жыл бұрын
Time stop is good. But the thing is that if you're placing units correctly, you'd only need the emergency stop when fighting really tough bosses..who all tend to have crazy speed and will use up those 2 turn stops and start moving before many of your units even thaw, leading to a massive massacre. You could turn back one of your units, but they won't be able to do much unless the boss was already dying and/or you're playing in the lower difficulties. But I gotta admit that I have been forced to use it once when surprise reinforcements came in terrifyingly close to my backline units and i didn't have enough tp for reverse sapcetime.
@LinkKing72 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's nice, but I actually play rather aggressively (as seen in this video), so I pretty much was never using it since it ends up stalling my progress when I could be picking units off with Distorted Space instead 😜. So broken that I rarely use him now. Reserved for Avlora style bosses. Though I do use him as a warper in maps with heavy terrain elevation changes. Woops..I lied. Hello, LinkKing7. I've seen many of your videos regarding Triangle Strategy. However, I had avoided some of them because I'd like to complete the game at my own pace, without spoilers. (For instance, one of the videos I saw from you, a while ago, was that pre-release tier list). And as such, ever since I got Quahaug on my team, he's perchance one of my strongest characters ever. I'd like to give an example: SPOILER WARNING for those who haven't played the game or got this far. On my first playthrough I followed Frederica's route. And, as such, I had to face Lyla. Which had been one of the toughest battles I had ever faced (it was way harder than the ultimate battle, you know which one I'm talking about). Probably because my characters weren't lvl 50 at the time, I haven't all their gear, maxed out stats, etc. I had always been playing on Hard mode btw. Anyway, I had to retry several times before I finally beat Lyla, but she still managed to take out Rudolph, for instance (he suffered quite a punch from her Delay Casting, which blew him up). Much later, then I faced Lyla again, following "you know who" route. And this time with Quahaug. Lyla was a piece of cake. She didn't kill a single party member and I even managed to Turn back time to simply deny her Delay Casting. Quahaug is awesome and he is one of the support characters that actually has an interesting story. But I have to agree. He is way too op. Probably the most op character of all the 30 playable characters (even more than Av... *you know who*).

dunno whether due course scales some on his magic attack, but it for sure scales some on the max HP of the target. I assumed it scaled entirely off of it? Looks like he does around 20~25% of their max HP, cuz he does about 250 damage on bosses. Makes him quite nice for dealing big damage to them, especially as both bosses and quahaug(i usually gear him for speed) get more turns than anyone else.
@rpgfanatic97192 жыл бұрын
Man square enix fucking outdid themselves with that character. It's kinda shameful that he's broken and the shit he does is not a normal part of the game in relation to other normal enemies, but this game has a lot of cool Pokemon-esque fuck the rules levels of strategy and that character is definitely part of that reason with teleportation and time reversal. The other things I like about the game are the dynamic terrain elements. Creating puddles from ice with fire and then using electricity or burning dry grass and basically developing your own natural traps with the terrain situations at hand. Disgaea is also a second favorite but it doesn't go quite as deep as this I don't think. There's one character that stuck out to me that revives enemies and turns them into allies in his rage mode, and yeah there's a lot of unique abilities in disgaea but nothing really like I've seen here, and they use such a small cast of characters to make this happen, which is of course do-able by just making your small cast like this as unique as possible and making the basic mechanics interesting, but it's weird that disgaea being like the ultimate board game rpg doesn't have these elements, and on that topic, fire emblem just doesn't hit it for me. Fire emblem is so hell bent on making passive shit the entire variety of the gameplay, the terrain system consists of basic statistical buffs, the weapons are basic too, with little variety in secondary effects, the best they got is warp staff which is just safety warp out, you can't control it and I don't even believe it's in any newer fire emblem games past the wii. And three houses is even more basic, like there's not even any customizable offspring or the pairing system, or even fucking beast units. I just hate it when game series drop content for different content to feel like a different fresh game. Like no dude, do what Pokemon did and add everything with your new shit, balance be damned, it still makes the game fun.
