Kelly is my surfing hero over the last 30 years but he fucked professional surfing and that's why we have a generic form in the wSL today. Andy was definitely the more talented surfer but he had bigger life forces that Kelly can't understand. He should though because of his father but it is what it is.

This is so sloppy and bad while also being in-depth. So strange. Where did this channel get all the info? No sources. People used to make a living working for the magazines by researching, interviewing the surfers and reporting on events while in attendance. This info makes up all of the content in this video. And here it is without a single mention of the magazines, books and writers who did the hard work originally (other than mentioning Slater's autobiography, really written by Jason Borte, but no mention of Borte's name). I hate it. I hate the lazy, deceitful way these youtube channels make money off of other people's work. Who shot all the footage? People actually swim out into the lineup at Pipe and literally put their lives on the line to get the water footage and there's no mention of a single person who did that. If anyone thinks this in-depth, badly produced ripoff of a look at competitive surf history has even a faint hint of quality to it then you've been duped and may the gods have mercy on your sheep souls.
