Fun fact: during the Russian civil war, Czechoelovak soldiers along the trans-Siberan railroad reportedly sang the "U boj" aria of the Croatian opera "Nikola Šubić Zrinski" which they took to Kobe, Japan when the ship transporting the over the Pacific had to stop there for repairs. U boj is still the anthem of the Kwansei Gakuin university in Kobe.

Rasputin and Napoleon similarities -both had admirers thanks to the skill in their profession -both great speakers -both had a rocky relationship with Russia -both helped their country fight Germans and Austrians -both had their junk cut off and put into a jar -both are mentioned in a song released in the 70s -Britain may have been responsible for both their deaths

@bigenglishmonkey2 ай бұрын
@@L.internet8 theres a rumor that britain was involved for a few reasons. -he was anti war and the british government was worried he would drag russia out. -Yusupov whos house the assassination took place in was close friends with an MI5 agent since oxford -the pistol used was a british standard issue webley -and a couple of other reasons by people like the tsar but thats more hearsay on their part than an actual connection. and the song is waterloo by ABBA 1974 starts of with napoleon surrendering and waterloo is said 21 times. not as focused on napoleon as rasputines but still.

@XXXTENTAClON2272 ай бұрын
It doesn’t matter bro , both engines were useless practically and have no relevance to the Industrial Revolution The first steam engine was built by Thomas Newcomen in 1712. Then, the Newcomen engine was improved drastically by James Watt around 1776, requiring only half as much coal. It was an atmospheric engine that Newcomen built: “It was historically significant as the first practical device to harness steam to produce mechanical work”

I used to have a mixed-race Indonesian-Dutch neighbor as a kid. He absolutely supported nuking Japan. Every Cantonese and Korean person I knew growing up also supported nuking Japan. Also, the pee test was not about whether you'd have a boy or girl, but whether you were pregnant or just having a late period. Peeing on barley sorta works. Not a well as the rabbit test or the frog test. And not nearly so well as the HCG antigen test developed in the late 70's.

Russian Civil War sometimes is called WW1.5 due to its size and the amount of causalities. Apart from those mentioned there were also: Japan Ottomans Americans French Independent Siberia Soviet Ukraine (that eastern ukraine guy) Soviet Caucasus Soviet Belarus That black flag is Makhnovshchyna (also Ukraine) Baltics Other Caucasus republics (Georgia and Armenia etc) There's a lot more, like at some point Crimea became its own thing in fighting against Bolsheviks. The amounts of White warlords who acted separately is quite a bit. And also if someone is wondering about Green Ukraine thing (the one bordering China) - Cossacks were responsible for keeping Siberian locals in check (collecting tolls, raiding those who didn't obey). It's an absolute chaos even when compared to Chinese civil wars. Honestly surprised that there isn't much stuff centered around it
