It’s an interesting backcourt to say the least. I think it could work but we might be seeing a Tyrese Haliburton situation by the deadline if it doesn’t. I think Ivey will definitely surprise a majority of fans next season and I think he could be on the 20-22ppg range if he picks up where he left off at the end of the season.

Aye Bro it would be dope if you did a young team vs young team video and their young players vs eachother if they were to match up , talking about Potential/Ceiling and where they could end up in title contentions. For example the Pistons vs Rockets and Okc vs Magic. Cade vs Amen Anthony Black vs Giddy. I know it would take some games to get a good feel for this but just Potential video

I’m most worried about his defense he was arguably the worst defender in the league last year. I think his offense will progress well but same issue with Jalen Green is the question of whether they impact winning at a high level or not it’s probably a 50/50 chance for each of them

I agree. I’m actually okay with Ivey’s offense and he actually overachieved in terms of shooting the 3 ball which is going to be crucial playing next to Cade. His finishing and ESPECIALLY defense need some work. I’m not as worried about the finishing, but that defense was awful to watch.

Our lineups were trash no space and key guys were hurt. Stewart sucks at defense and so does Bojan. He actually tries and will be a pass lane thief. Also he can average a block a game like wade. He showed he gets blocks everything else goes on others around him.

@@detroitshinobi4995 Making stuff up to defend your guy is unnecessary. Ivey averaged .2 blocks a game that’s not much of factor and .8 steals is mediocre. But it’s not just that he also looks lost out there on D and easily taken advantage of and according to advanced metrics you can make an argument he was the worst defender in the entire NBA. I think he will improve but so far it’s not pretty

I love Ivey he is a beast on offense but he is hot ass garbage on defense it’s not a physical thing either it’s a mental issue his positioning and decision making are very bad I’m scared for the pistons overall defensively they have only two good and no great defenders on the team Cade and Ivey are going to be frustrating to watch on defense Thomson and Duren will lead the defensive end they need a lockdown wing like Bruce brown a player they used to have it’s sad but they are going to struggle defensively the hornets and wizards are going to be worse but I feel a rivalry with Indiana brewing haliburton mathurin and Cade Ivey will have some very good show downs they are going to meet in the playoffs sooner or later ivey gotta make a big adjustment defensively but Monty Williams will really help him develop that discipline he lacks making dumb shot block attempts and getting beat off the dribble are things he needs to fix

I agree. Him being a better defender is actually crucial. Becuse at his size, he’ll most likely be guarding the PG’s of the league. Players at Ja and Curry’s size specifically. He should be able to matchup well on paper, but it’s almost like bro gets too caught up in everything. He’s bigger than Ja already and more athletic than Curry, so I’m not worried, but seeing how lost he was last year wasn’t the best. He was a rookie though, so I have faith.
