@@violet9242 i think what they're trying to say is imagine they were playing red for example. if sapnap only had blues, but also had a plus four, i think that's when they're technically supposed to play it?? when you challenge, i think you guess if the person who put the plus four has that color? like if sapnap used the plus four on karl, i think karl would challenge that he didn't have the red already in the middle deck???? if he was right, sapnap draws the four, but if karl were to challenge and get it wrong, he gets 6 instead of the original 4 cards. i'm not sure if that even makes any sense though lmao

How the challenge works is if someone places a 4+ and changes the colour that is being played red to blue for example, u can challenge them. By putting down the 4+, they are saying that they don’t have any more red cards but when u are challenging them , u r taking the risk saying they do. If they do have red card when u challenge them, then they get the four plus, (because they changed the colour even when they had another card they could’ve placed) but if you challenged them and they don’t have anymore red cards then u get 6+. This is a really confusing explanation but I tried. Love ur vids btw ❤️

The way challenging in Uno works: Let's say someone plays a +4 and you challenge, if the color of the card below the +4 is a color the person who originally played the +4 has you win the challenge ☺️ (Sorry if it's a confusing description)

A challenged player must show his/her hand to the player who challenged. If the challenged player is guilty, he/she must draw the 4 cards, plus 2 additional cards. Only the person required to draw the 4 cards can make the challenge.

For future reference, when someone lays a +4 they are supposed to pick a colour they have in their hand as its a last resort card if they don't have the colour on the table so can't lay. If they pick a colour that they don't have in their hand and you Challenge, you pick up cards. If they did have that colour, they pick up cards as they had other options to lay down :)

FYI from an Uno EXPERT: The +4 challenge is meant to keep people from playing +4 unless they have no other cards they can play. In the official Uno rules, you are not allowed to play a +4 unless it is the only cars you can play. If the +4 is played on you, You challenge someone and if they had a card they could have played instead of a +4, they have to draw those cards since they “lied”. It’s a weird rule that most people don’t use when playing with IRL uno cards.

The way challenging works is if someone plays a draw 4 and picks a new color even if they had cards from the previous color. For example, if the color is green and someone has a green but switches it to yellow, if you challenge it, you will win since they still have green cards.

Tips: Challenge in a wild +4 allows the player to bluff, you may not play a wild +4 when you have the color that matches on the discard pile, If the player thinks you have to the color on the discard pile, He may challenge, if he challenge and you have the color that matches the discard pile, then you draw the 4 cards but you still pick the color. But if he is wrong he draw 6 cards and lose their turn

Okay, so for people who don’t understand what challenge button does, here is an explanation: When a person uses a +4 and changes colour or stays on the same one, you can challenge them if you think they have the original colour. For example, the colour was green, and the player use +4 to change it to blue. You can challenge them if you think they have a green. If they do, they get +4, if they don’t, you get +6 as a punishment. Hope this helps

So how the +4 challenge thing works is if a player plays a +4 card and chooses a color they have in their deck of cards, then the person receiving the +4 can challenge them to see if they have the color red for example if they picked it. If the player does have a red card in their deck then they have to pick up the four but if they don’t, then the person who challenged them have to pick up an amount of cards. I can’t remember what happens if they’re wrong.. Hope that helped! :]

Definition of CHALLENGE: player 1 plays +4 for an example, player 1 has played that because they may not have the color shown on the deck. If player 2 thinks player 1 does have that color to lay down instead of a +4 they can challenge, wrong they get +6 (search it up if that helps otherwise)

for those wondering, the challenge is like this: when someone draws a +4 card, the next player has the opportunity to Challenge or Decline. Declining would be taking the safe option and drawing 4 cards as usual. Now, say they placed the +4 on top of a Yellow card, if you think they have a Yellow card, you'd Challenge it. If they do have a yellow card, they have to pick up 4 instead of you. If they don't, you pick up 6 instead of 4. That's why you see their cards turn around when you challenge it. ~💚
