It's conveyed so well too. First time i have ever felt irl awkwardness due to undisclosed feelings and thoughts of video game characters. I will say that cloud comes across very different in this than the original, though. He seemed genuinely too cool and uninterested in the original during these sections of the game, where as now he comes across as someone who is clearly quite awkward and damaged

Which makes sense bc Aerith is the star of the show at that point. Next game Tifa will be the star. In the early game there’s gonna be a ton of angst and them drifting apart but it will eventually lead to the lifestream scene. Their relationship will be right next to saving the world from Sephiroth in terms of plot importance

So, funny and awesome detail? If you start that Fort Condor quest having Yuffie as a member of the team, she will have an exclusive dialogue with Aerith and Red, saying that she can teach them the basics and being envious about the fact that she couldn't be inside of the game. You can also go back to Kalm and the news will be the latest big news involving Shinra. I'm just mesmerized on how much thought they put into the game, having so much stuff like this.

The same trick for rushing and winning fast in the original still works pretty effectively - forget about hitting enemy weaknesses, just mass deploy whichever unit has the least weaknesses on the field, or try to mirror your opponent's units. e.g if your enemy team uses attack and defence, deploy mostly defense as it's weak to neither. If the enemy uses mostly attack and ranged, deploy lots of attack units, rather than defense and attack. Pair those units with clerics and heroes to end most levels on hard difficulty pretty quickly.

The mindflayer at the golden saucer battle arena… I barely killed him at level 33 with one braver right before his psycokenesis went off. His fist one got thwarted by phoenix reraises. Tough fight wish I had recorded the clutch. That has been the hardest fight for me so far in dynamic.

A little late, but what's funny is that dynamic scales a lot to how a player performs, so the worse they are, the easier the game ends up getting. And judging from how Max played a lot of Remake, and looking at this, it's definitely pretty obvious why the game's being nice.

OG FF7 Cloud: fights like a normal person and jump like a normal person. Advent Children: Cloud can fly and cut through buildings. Remake Cloud: stronger than the average man, but can't cut through a steel door. Rebirth Cloud: can stay in the air for 5 minutes and could cut through giant monsters. Third game Cloud: Can fly to the ends of the earth and could cut the meteor in two.

I also had a clutch moment with Phoenix. After it spawned 3 additional monster after using Rebirth skill, my Choco Mog summon was just about to end. And when it did, it killed all monsters in the stage including Phoenix. Was surprised that I was able to beat him. Also in Dynamic Difficulty.

At this point of the game, i fought pheonix with a party that focused on building atb fast. 1.whistle wind scarf on tife for atb. 2.level up materia+First strike materia cloud. Atb+10% on his second blade. 3.aurora pinion 10+ speed on your choice of character. 4.chadley gives you two atb staggers which work great on cloud, tifa or barret to regain atb fast. The materia that builds atb by blocking also works if you know how to block or parry. Theres many ways to parry pheonix.

Same thing happened with my team too. Tifa & Red were down and Barrett was on the verge of death, but so was Phoenix. Barrett popped his limit and took the big bird out.

General advice - buy everyone HP UP, Chakra and precision block materia, give Prayer to the fastest ATB generating character (Usually Cloud), give Barret/Yuffie enemy skill soothing wind. I dont think I used a single item yet, so combat simulator banning them is not an issue.

That Shiva card in Queen's Blood is so awesome. I beat the fisherman guy using it after only a couple turns. I took over a bunch of spaces and just played Shiva before he could retake any of them and it was over immediately. It's such a fun game. It was pretty easy in Kalm but the new kinds of cards you get introduced to in Junon take it to a whole new level. I'm sure that'll continue through the rest of the game too. I'm currently pretty much where Max is in this video. It's been a balancing act trying to stay just ahead of where he is in his uploads so that I don't end up spoiling myself

Fort Condor would have been a lot better with another 30 seconds to the timer (or really, no timer), and not having to go so spastic on my controller on the ab workout minigame would have been nice. xD I feel like they were so close, but just missed the mark.

You probably already know by now. But a animal skill is the lifesaver for me. I forgot the exact name, but the Soothing Breeze enemy skill. Halt your movement and temporarily heal yourself and allies within a wide area of effect

I actually managed to beat phoenix without lowering it's power. That was the real clutch

I killed full power Alexander around level 25. Took me literally an hour to fight. Use barret with Prayer and give others chakura for harder fights. He can just constantly keep anyone alive without anyone dying.

This game DID NOT disappointment! I’ve been waiting 20yrs for this shit! Tip: I reached level 30. Then went back & beat Phoenix & Alexander with only 1 power down. Phoenix was the most challenging between the two.
