That hard ball feeling with the arch support will go away once your feet get used to it. My favourite pair of sandals felt like that when I first wore them, it lasted a few weeks. 5 years later I still wear them every day with no problems at all.

@@angelamasson-fashionover50 Vionic shoes usually come with instructions, at least they used to. The suggestion is to wear them for a short amount of time the first few days and then build up to a longer period of time. I've never had a problem though, but I have fairly high arches.

I think no one shoe will work for everyone. I wear Vionic because I NEED that arch support. If you don't have that issue then I could see why it would bother you. I cannot wear a flat shoe.

I love Skechers. I wear their sneakers, lace up and pull on for work. They are very comfortable for standing on your feet all day. The memory foam is the best.😘

I've been wearing vionics for years. You have to wear them for a short time to start with. They are meant to correct the alinement of your posture.

I have Vionic house slippers. The arch support felt hard at first but I quickly got used to it. They are so comfortable and supportive. I love to come home and put on my Vionic house shoes.

Taos sneakers and Munro sandals have good arch support and come in narrow sizes. Vionic flip flops and house slippers have saved my feet from the pain of plantar fasciitis.

Hoka Bondi 8 is great. On my 4th set of them. I alternate with two pairs bought to let them air out. So far this year I’ve walked 586 miles on a treadmill this year. My feet began to hurt a little in the last 2-3 months so I bought 2 new new pairs. It is literally the best walking shoe I’ve ever used. They are worth every penny you spend on them. For reference, I’m 62 and I have need arch support and toe footbed cushioning due to plantar fasciitis flare ups that occur when this support is missing.

My most comfortable shoes are Birkenstocks, recommended to me by a podiatrist 25 years ago for plantar fasciitis. I love them so much that I have at least 15 pairs, even the first pairs I bought. Birkenstock also sells insoles to use in your other shoes. The idea of Vionic arch support is to realign your body for those who have ankle, knee, hip or back pain. Watch a QVC presentation to visualize this. I have a pair of wedge sandals that I love. Any other shoes I use an arch support, just the $6 ones work for me. Good luck in your search!

@@emptythoughts3060 Birkenstocks have a deep heel cup which pushes the fat cushioning your heels back where they belong, plus the arch support. Depending how far out of alignment your feet are will determine the initial comfort and break in period when you first start wearing them. I bought so many shoes looking for something comfortable but always went back to my Birkenstock sandals. The original footbed is more comfortable for me than the newer soft footbed. Hope you find something that helps!

I have bunions and Morton’s neuroma. The only shoes I have found to work for me are from Orthofeet. Since I have found Orthofeet I have gotten rid of all my shoes including slippers. In the past I have gone to podiatrists and chiropractors and have had special orthotics made and still had foot pain. With Orthofeet I do not use the orthotics. I have replaced all my shoes with Orthofeet and so glad I did.

I love my Orthofeet trainers and bought a pair of their sandals too. I liked the Coral trainers so much I bought them in turquoise and lilac. Great colors! I have a bunion and hammertoe on one side and plantar fasciitis on the other. Still I walk 4 miles a day, now no longer in pain. I wore Vionics for years, both the trainers and the slip on shoes. Now they don’t have enough support for me and I need a wider foot bed. I had the Beach slip ons last summer but they didn’t have enough support and made my plantar fasciitis worse after a while. I also like Aetrex shoes and really like their sandals for the summer and their trainers/sneakers. I even use Aetrex insoles in some of my other shoes. Alas, I can no longer wear cute shoes and have a closet full of them that I can sit and look at, but can’t use.

I'm in my 50's & I still always grab my black crocs flipflops in the summer if I'm going to be out all day. I LOVE croc flip flops!! It's the only shoe that never gives me any problems.

I live in the sketchers with the criss cross straps. I wear them indoors and have some for outdoors. In the winter I wear them with socks (indoors only) haha. But I do not need a special arch support.

Love Vionic & Oofos, but I highly recommend you try a brand called Kuru. I never hear people talk about them and they have been saviors for my plantar fasciitis. Their shoes are the best of both worlds when it comes to support & comfort.

I agree with you about the Vionics arch feeling like a little too much. I have high arches, so I do not need that...plus when there is too much arch padding it can cause my foot to lean outward. I do have the beach tennis shoes and they do not feel like the arch is exadgerated. They are very comfy!

I feel like Vionic is so expensive. There just seems to be so many more brands that offer the same thing for a lesser price. Easy Spirit are expensive but offer so many discounts. I also love Skechers for the more casual shoe. Love, love , love the Croc heels and dress shoes. So comfy!!

Just a Thank You for recommending the Cloudswift shoes. I ordered a pair through Nordstrom and they are wonderful. I am 76 years old, still work 20 hours a week on my feet. Normally my back aches from this, but with the cloudswifts, my back feels much better, walking, in general, is easier. I feel more energetic. They are definitely worth the money. I had tendonitis earlier this year and the only shoes I could wear comfortably were my Birdies. I love the Heron style. So fashionable and not clunky like most comfortable shoes. They have 5 layers of padding and gorgeous styles.

I love my oofos I've been wearing them or Hoka's the past few years as I had hereditary bunion hammer toe surgery on one foot and bunion and claw toe surgery on the other foot I was advised to get them by my podiatrist. You should try a pair of Hoka tennis shoes Angela they are awsome. Hoka also make a great flip flop, they are pricey but I usually get a couple years of wear . I have never been able to wear sketchers shoes I like them they have alot of cute styles but they are just not comfortable. Great video!♥️ oh and I love my croks they are great lake shoes!

I tried Vionic once for the arch, but it was painful. The beach sneakers might work well for me. Skechers has a large variety of shoes, so some are better than others. They have a newer arch fit line. I find Earth shoes to have great arch support. I have Propet and Ryka that I really like also.

Hello. I have 2 pairs of Vionic flats and I love them. They are THE most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have 1 pair of Vionic wedges. They are gorgeous, but not as comfortable as the flats, but I think that is to be expected. Also, when I first wore the wedges they did not have any give, but after a few times they loosened up.

I have a pair of Bob's by Sketchers that has the same bottom/arch as the Vionic beach tennies. They are very comfy unlike most run-around type sneakers. Look for a sale though.

Vionics are my favorite. I love the arch support, but the instructions do say you should gradually increase your wear time. I never needed to. I really love oofos also, but because of the material they're made of if your feet get too warm the material seems to stretch and I have actually Fallen because my foot Twisted in them. They are a rehab shoe and the sole is rounded which creates a rocking motion that is supposed to strengthen your calves. I like that about them until I hurt my hip and now I can't wear them for that reason. So those top two were my top two also. Skechers always were too narrow for me and I never felt they were comfortable, though my 94 year old mother loves them. But she has a very narrow foot.

I have been a stylist for 22 years and I only wear Abeo and Aetrex sandals and boots, because I suffer with plantar fasciitis and these are the only two shoe companies I can work in all day they are phenomenal!! I do use Vionic if I have a wedding to go to :-) And FYI when you sign up with Aetrex with texting and email they always have it seems weekly 40% off of certain shoes so that’s when I buy them and then every purchase is worth points so right now I have $120 off on a pair of shoes Which I mainly get my sandals when they’re half off so I only pay like 50 $60 for amazing arch support and super cute styles that are soft on my feet and hug my arch and my heel just your whole foot feels amazing in them! But they have really good deals and the shoes last forever! And the same with the Abeo shoes and boots . I have shoes that I’ve had with them for five years and the bottoms have never worn out

I'd love to see you try some different shoes from Spenco. I get mine off of QVC. The arch isn't quite as strong as the Vionic (I have both brands) but a very nice comfortable shoe. Their inserts are removable from most if not all of their shoes. So, I use them in my sneakers that don't have the arch and heel support.

I got one wedged sandal with an ankle strap to wear with dresses. It was very comfortable so I ordered a pair in tan and leopard in the same style on Amazon. They were the exact same shoe but the arch was actually painful. They both had to go back! I don’t know if they were fakes or what happened, but now I’m cautious when I order to be sure they have free returns. Somehow they were the same but - NOT THE SAME. - GO FIGURE!

I LOVE my croc tennis shirts. They aren't for long walks though. I wear them more for everyday as I work and running errands. Although I like Sketchers, my PT warned me against them because I had Plantar Fasciitis, he told me they are the worst for it and can make it worse. I'm all about cute, but definitely go for comfort first these days.
