Agreed that that seems to be what it refers to. Also, there's actually yet another reference to the line-Nightmare Fredbear's kill lines in Ultimate Custom Night: "Let me put you back together, then take you apart all over again." Another kill line of note, a callback to a different part of that final speech: "We know who our friends are, and you are *not* one of them!" These along with the Sister Location Private Room are a large part of why I think the final speaker really _is_ William (even though I don't believe for a second that this is what was planned at the time of FNaF 4 itself). Raises the question of whether that instance means the same thing or not, though, since I doubt he knew anything about dead spirits getting fragmented yet.

It dosen't mean William said it, the reason the line is said is bc Nm.Fredbear is the Crying Child

Stupid question but... why does Michael said he put Elizabeth/circus baby back together and freed her even tho... he didn't
@CosmicStarVA Жыл бұрын
technically he did free her from being trapped inside the SL facility. it could also be that Michael doesn't know exactly what "put back together" means. ether way tho, there is still a connection to "freedom"

Perhaps not directly but we do see in FNAF 6 she does lean into being William's daughter "I will make you proud Daddy" while in SL, she seemed to believe she was the animatronic (see Baby's secret dialogue on night 3).

The best guess I can come up with is that for some reason parts from Circus Baby ended up in the other animatronics (how? idk), in which case Elizabeth's soul would be split and Ennard would be putting the pieces back together. But Michael's part in that was pretty passive, so I dunno. Maybe after he was injected with the Remnant he was able to talk to them like Carlton, and similar stuff happened offscreen? That feels like a very big thing to leave out of the game, though.

@@CosmicStarVAIf putting her back together meant freedom, he wouldn't have to clarify it afterwards. It would just be implicit. Besides, it wasn't Michael who actually freed her. She freed herself using him as a vessel. And given the existence of the Ennard ending, it's clear that it wasn't his intention to get scooped. He was taken advantage of. When you think of what he actually DID for her in Sister Location it becomes clear. He reminded her who she was. When Baby first talks to you, she talks to you as if she is Circus Baby. And she continues to do so throughout the game. When she recounts the story of how Elizabeth died, she speaks from the perspective of Baby. She says it like she's the one who killed Elizabeth, not like she was Elizabeth being killed. It's only come Pizza Sim when she talks as if she's Elizabeth. Refers to William as her dad. Her personality is different. She's less cold, detatched, and manipulative, and far more emotional and impulsive. Like a little girl. He put Elizabeth back together. He restored her personality in Baby. It's not a stretch to assume that Evan having his head crushed, dying, and possessing Fredbear would deteriorate his sense of self, like it did to Elizabeth. Especially considering thar Cassidy is consistently the spirit far more in control throughout the series. And the way he fades out at the end of FNaF4 rather than persisting in the void compliments this. He doesn't just die, he loses who he is. "I will put you back together" doesn't mean to free them. Regardless of who you interpret as speaking that line, the person who says it does not make freeing his soul a priority in any way. It means restoring their identity. Putting their fractured mind back together. Putting THEM back together. Repairing the self.
