The Most Controversial FE2 Update...

Flood Escape 2's V57 is a kind of strange update. What really ruins it is the OSTs, everything else is just alright. The star ratings are actually really good, but some parts of the update do feel a bit rushed. I think quality assurance testing really needs to come back.

just an fyi: bslick worked along side the map makers (excluding northern mill) while making the osts (confirmed by crazyblox). they all approved these versions before being added to main fe2. I'm not saying u have to like the osts, but knowing how the fe2 fandom gets when criticizing things, just keep that in mind lol

I still think SSR deserves a better OST. I think it’s a great song but honestly it never fit for me. Looking at songs like Lost Desert or Sedimentary Temple, they totally fit with the desert theme. SSR has so much potential but it didn’t turn out too great

I'll be honest this update is ok, but not the best or the worst from past updates. For one I do agree with u partially on the 4 osts. Toxic Woods doesn't fit at all, but I'm not so sure about Northern Mill tbh. Forgotten Tombs is ok, and Relic Valley is my favorite out of the 4 due to the fact the ost vibes gives a resemblance from Freedom Planet which is probably what Relic Valley was based off of. RV's ost is probably BSlick's best FE2 OST right next to SSR's ost. For the highlights, I'm actually glad and surprised that Closing Hours got highlighted. It's good to see old maps having their time to shine and I hope that continues! Submerging Coastland on the other hand it's an ok crazy, but I do agree it probably shouldn't be permanent. No offense to Rio and Void ofc. I'm also glad that Snowy became permanent! One of my 2 favorite crazy maps next to AVM. And the star ratings is a very interesting concept to see in the game and to tell which map is the hardest from each difficulty. Anyways that's enough with this long ass comment LOL. All in all this update is pretty alright.

Tbh this update is really great and I really think it’s a solid update to make the game come back as every time we were just getting new maps every week I think the only bad thing about this though are the OSTS cause they are just terrible besides northern mill and relic valley but still even other composers can do better than that

Flood Escape 2 is slowly growing. Relic Valley OST is mid-good. Snowy Stronghold was been permanent, and one thing that I notice is the lighting change.

Do you have to keep controversy baiting with titles for update videos? You have about 3 videos with a “this update is (negative verb)…..” title, and even made a thumbnail baiting zemblanity as a 1 star map. Once might be appropriate, but it’s getting a little ridiculous. Barely anyone has called this update controversial but you. The only slight critique over it is some people finding the OSTs awkward or not well fitting, which was the same initial reception to the ignis peaks and ssr OSTs which seem to be pretty loved these days.

It's undeniable that this update has stirred up controversy. In the title, I may have used a touch of hyperbole to grab attention - it's part of my job as a KZbinr to create eye-catching titles and thumbnails, you of all people should understand that. However, the recent update has undeniably led to the Crazyblox Games Discord Server being put on lockdown. At one point, off-topic even had to be placed under a 2-minute slowmode (with it still being 1 minute as of me writing this). Therefore, claiming that this update wasn't controversial would be completely inaccurate. It's worth noting that this is only the second time I've criticized an update in a title - the first being when Toxic Woods and Northern Mill were added. Your points hold no value as they are literally incorrect. But from now on I'll stop using more controversial/negative titles.

Dark sci is definitely harder. Even though btr is longer and is more consistent with the difficulty, it gets way easier once you remember the directions that you have to go to, unlike dark sci which has harder jumps and is easier to mess up on.

i have major issues with this update. the new ost’s were underwhelming considering we had to wait 2 extra months for them. the star rating, although really cool, just doesn’t match the actual difficulty to some maps. (seriously how is sandswept 5.6??) the best parts about this update was definitely the highlighted maps and emotes. PS: snowy stronghold’s ight tho. shimmering should’ve been added but i can’t complain given the votes from last month

My opinions: Northern mill: pretty awesome but not too awesome and it really brings a northern vibe but not too much vibe and it could use a remake by EliTe, it's a C+ tier... For construction thrill and Chris Selemer Forgotten tombs: Instant D tier because It fits better with lava tower then Forgotten tombs so in my opinion, Lava tower and forgotten tombs should swap music with eachother. Toxic woods: Well, it could have had Poisonus forest old ost so it could fit better, but no, it had that ost, it could be used for a crazy map that's mostly acid and green lava instead of toxic woods, D- Tier... for down town. Relic valley: relic valley ost does have a fitting with a map, but it fits with a different map, relic valley's ost should have more of a crystal-like vibe like Crystal caverns and It's old ost (marred dreams) so it could fit better, F tier... For Fallen, this ost is just as bad as Fallen if it wasn't used on relic valley

To be honest, this update is very good, Everything is good, even the OST'S In my opinion. Closing Hours does have a chance of being permanent. Submerging Coastland is good but I don't think should be permanent in my opinion. Snowy Stronghold is still very good. The star Rating is useful for new players. Northen Mill fits the map pretty good. Forgotten Tombs Is decent. Relic Valley is also pretty good. Toxic Woods Doesn't fit the map but in general it's very good in my opinion. The new Items is funny. Overall this update is very good. Also BTR Peak (What I mean is I like It not that is the hardest map)

Right, your opinion. I have to say you have very high standards if you think “a better composer could’ve made it” is all you can say about the songs. As far as Im concerned none of them sound bad, maybe yeah lacks in terms of fitting the pace and such, but by no means are they awful. While you might be upset about them not fitting, rating them so low isn’t in my opinion very rational considering we’ve had placeholders for the maps for a long time now so I’m very happy with these already.

My general opinion on the update is that its... okay? I like the new songs, a lot actually. I think the people overreacted a bit when they were released. Sure, some of the songs don't fit, but that doesn't mean they're bad. To be honest, you're probably not gonna hear the songs much because people boost the intensity all the time. With Snowy Stronghold becoming permanent, I can't help but feel a little disappointed. The map is okay, I think the setting is very unique, and the song works well with it. However... I just don't see it as being worthy of being added into the game. I know my opinion wouldn't change anything because most of the community fucking LOVED this map, but to me? Not so much. Though, if Snowy Stronghold got added, I think Chaoz Japan should be added as well. uhhh new emotes too i don't really care lol
