Of course wearing a helmet is known as being safe but a helmt or no helmet has nothing to do with being cool. It's not about being cool, it's cause of the hardcore risk you take and that is a HUGE culture to street skating - skating raw, broken bones, skinned knees. Skaters are all such cool and chill dudes. And I love how they like encourage other less skilled skaters and give them tips to get better instead of mocking them. Positive reinforcement is the key to become great at anything. With guys like Andy around even I would dare to try to skate lol.
