Two world collide in this video: “Old school” Chuck Barris-esque Kar Kulture meets R&T’s hi-falutin’ reverence for ever-more-extravagant, Euro-centric modes of motoring. Personally, I much prefer the paint-craftsman’s knowledgeable commentary to the pretentious-sounding publisher’s “proposal” that leads off the video. Moreover, I agree with several other commenters’ that the end result, while expertly achieved, is a DECIDEDLY mixed bag. The painter’s final quip even subtly suggests that this was an “odd couple” partnership from the start. But, fascinating, still.
