Suge was wrong but from 6:36 to 6:50 & 7:03 to 7:17 , Suge wasn't lying either about Puff overshadowed his artists. I never forgot what Mark Curry said in his book "Dancing With The Devil" that Puff charged his artists $30,000 to appear in their videos. Puff even charged his artists for using his Bentley in the videos without the artists even knowing. I went WHAT?!!! Then that famous argument Puff had with The Lox on Angie Martinez show when The Lox said "The only person that benefited from the success is you Puffy". Then let's not forgot how Puffy ripped off his artists. Then Gene Deal exposed how Puff ignored the warnings of threats against Biggie which made people think Puff might had set up Big's early demise. So sadly Suge knew what Puffy's intentions was all along.
@TRivera13
@TRivera13 Жыл бұрын
Puffy is a scumbag, no debate there. But Suge being a hater doesn't mean he was right. Cause Suge had no problem putting his fat head front and center on Death Row promo materials. Had no problem putting his name and his name only on the bottom. Like he actually rapped a verse or produced a song. He tanked a $100 million dollar company because he wanted to play gangbanger godfather. He's no better than Puffy.

Hate to admit it, as a Brooklyn girl myself… You’re right. And look at the fact that allllll those artists went on to become iconic. Legends and living legends til this day. Outside of Biggie, all those Bad Boy artists have faded into obscurity. It’s clear that Puff was more concerned with being a star and making HIMSELF money and everyone else got screwed (and now we’re hearing in more ways than one). People love to romanticize Big and what would have happened if he lived, well whose to say he wouldn’t be broke or scraping by like the rest of them.

I'll NEVER forget that night. That show was an organized mess. It was wildly awesome. The coming back from commercial break scenes were wild too. But Suge's diss about Diddy was on point. Diddy WAS in & on EVERYTHING. His stupid dancing in the videos. The constipated grunts on songs. I was sick of him. But you could feel the bad vibes in the room. Coming through the TV. #Tupac4life

How was being a hater right? Instead of focusing on his business, he's bitching and moaning about another company's moves. And I'm no fan of Puffy at all. But facts are facts. Suge was so quick to call out Puffy for being on the songs and videos. But then puts his big head *FRONT AND CENTER* on all the Death Row promo materials. With his name on the bottom. At least Puffy contributed to the making of the music.

OutKast winning Best New Artist for the Source Awards was big for the South ⬇️ .. they opened up a lot of doors and barriers for other Southern rappers to come out and be themselves, & and made Southern hip hop go global since then and it dominated Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Memphis, & and New Orleans amongst other major cities across the South ⬇️🌀🗣️🔥 .. The South was here to stay and show the world that they had something to say and outsold for the next decade .. OutKast, UGK, Geto Boys, Three Six Mafia, 8Ball & MJG, & and Dungeon Family brought Southern rap to the forefront of hip hop culture musically
