The best video of the Khumbu Icefall that I have ever seen. You did such a good job filming while also climbing ... I don't know how you managed.

I have watched many videos on climbing this big old mountain. This video has been by far one of the best amazing camera work, highly informative. The sherpas are pretty special in all that they do on their mountain. Lots awesomeness

I've seen tens of films about climbing Mount Everest, but none of them portray the grind of the Khumbu Icefall like your video does. Also, your video helped me understand where the Lhotse face is compared to Everest. Thank you for such a beautiful and education video!

I am not a climber but I am absolutely fascinated by the Himalayan mountains. I have watched many, many videos from the History Channel to The Discovery Channel. And I must say this one by far is the best video i've ever seen. Between the information and the amount of time he took on the shots , what was outstanding. The video quality of the equipment he used. In my opinion i've never seen anything more clear or crisp and beautiful. This video was very well done and with respect. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us something. Some of us would never get to see otherwise. Please be safe god bless.

Most movies and videos have glossed over Khumbu. This one is perhaps the best coverage of this section and its travails. Kudos!! 👍

I was a climber many years ago, while living in Arizona I hiked the Grand Canyon 9 times, once from South to North, then back. I moved to Colorado where I climbed many peaks. I have the same overwhelming desire to climb still now in my life even though I am aged. Eventually I wanted to climb Everest but had to take another path in life, literally. Your video is amazing and brought me back to snow covered peaks where my love will always be. Amazing, and I was taken back in beautiful time. I wept and you know why.

Wow !! I really appreciate the video showing the camps and the people. I like the great camera angle of the panoramic views of the amazing landscape. The video showing the actual trek across the crevasses and hiking up and down the narrow icy trail is fascinating. I wished the video was longer !!!!!!

By far this was the best video to really get a small taste of the feel of the icefall. I absolutely loved watching it. I respect the people doing it because I could never even consider it. I wish it was a longer video also… Thank you for the time and effort it took to bring us this wonderful production!

I have seen many videos about mountaineering in the Himalayas, especially on Mount Everest. But I've rarely seen such wonderful footage, you feel like you're there yourself! And then there are your explanations: Great, wonderfully done, thank you very much for letting me accompany you. Good luck with your future endeavors!

Absolutely love your video. You put out very good information and insite. Very impressive on your climb. Just going past through the ice falls is just hard work. I think for me just getting to base camp. I'm happy with. Your a truly a strong person to do this. Mentally and physically.

Great perspective of the Khumbu! Certainly both an exhilarating and nerve racking experience with the unknowns of the Khumbu. As someone who plans to attempt Everest in a few years, the ice fall will play a big part in the decision process of what side I attempt from.

And during acclimatizing they have to go through the icefall multiple times both directions. They’re not at risk only one cycle but again and again and again.

It seems like doing the north route up the north col would be better wouldn't it? Less traffic jams and you don't have to deal with the icefall each time.

Every single person who died in that icefall put themselves there. They walked right up to the place they died. Whether or how many people die in the icefall is not the question, but rather why people choose to risk dying there.

Khumbu Icefall looks quite small when it's watched from Base Camp, and I don't think standing at Base Camp can help identifying any seracs or big crevasses of the icefall. Can we see the whole icefall from Base Camp? Is the slope (which we can see from Base Camp) has a length of 2km (that slope looks a hundred meters)?

It's a great idea, you need to be in good physical condition and have the ability to hike 10-15km per day. You don't need to take a big back because you will stay in lodges and guest houses, food is also available there. So actually you can meet people of all ages and all over the world on the trek

The monk asks god for the luck 4:59. It would be more correct to say that the monk asks the gods and the demons of the mountain for permission to climb. Considering the number of deaths on the mountain it must be assumed that permission is not always granted by the gods and demons. The fact that permission may not have been granted does not seem to be made known to the monk. Or if refusal is made known to the monk by the gods and demons then the monk does not make that known to the climbers.
