The safest compound they can use is called silicone resin. It’s a non toxic, a minor irritant and due to it being a polymer, it’s makes it easier to wash off without leaving any residue on the hands and non flammable, due to silicone being nonflammable and non-reactive to other synthetic compounds. If the company want to replace the actual hazardous epoxy resin (which most likely would be) this resin is generally the safest option. I do organic chemistry so you don’t have to. (Im a huge organic chemistry fan❤)🐋

I looked at these on a popular online store in my country and there was a 1 star review from an adult who said they love mini foods and they thought that it had "pink slime" and complained that their hands were sticky for several days. Just making an obvious point here, but being in contact with an idea won't necessarily infect you with the idea :P My parents had an awesome book about cocktails, and i loved looking at it growing up, it had lovely pictures. Now I'm grown and I can proudly say I barely drink and all my life I maybe had a proper mixed drink twice :D The resin thing... yeah ok, that's more valid for sure!

Tbh, it has warnings all over it and says adult supervision is REQUIRED. So really it's just a case of parents not parenting their dang kids. The parents probably just blindly bought the toys without looking at it closely and left their kid to their own devices. I know a lot of adults also like the make-it mini verse things to collect, because diy cute mini things. But seriously, they would be a fun activity for parents to do with their kids to encourage creativity if the parents actually cared to spend time with their kids. I would have been obsessed with these things as a kid (I still like the concept because crafty and love tiny detailed stuff.)
