Unfortunately because the politicians got involved, this program no longer exists. The deputy probation officers did a really good job since they usually had about a year or less to coach these kids into a team. Maybe sometime soon some genius will wake up, re- invent the wheel, introduce this program again and take the credit for themselves. BTW, I enjoyed the movie way back when

@@cesarjkd8379not going to lie i’m pretty bummed out about hearing this i loved playing football but i was always in trouble wasn’t good in school i was in and out of jail and i remember going to garfield hs and looking thru the fence and i said God i wish i would’ve got to play football in high school next thing you know i got arrested again and requested to go to camp kilpatrick it was a huge blessing i got to play football played quarterback and i got my ged out of it it made a huge impact in my life ill be forever grateful for that experience

I’ll pray for you if you’d like and also, I don’t know anything about fentanyl recovery or anything like that, but I do know about trying to make a change for the better and I would highly recommend the book “atomic habits” because I really do believe that it helps set you up to succeed and even has safety measures to even if you fail you still succeed and get ahead. It’s a really good book that I think would help you because I know a lot of the times issues like yours are behavior and patterns and you just have to learn how to break it and replace those patterns but best of luck man.🔥👍🫡
