I can relate. I am overweight and a diabetic. That is a pedicure but sure needs to cut them. A gangrene issue would turn the toes dark not the nails. Part of why she is so puffy is her high blood sugars - glucose molecules carry water molecules leading to that amount of swelling/inflammation.

​@@tinkthestrangeYES!! I am a nurse n we ALWAYS refer diabetic patients to podiatry. We always advise against salon pedicures n diy foot care. Diabetics need regular routine foot care by a Dr! If someone just polished them then that would be fine but as far as the nail trimming, callous removal n all of that it needs to be done by a professional. U even have to use a special lotion for your feet when diabetic n have to be careful to not get it in between the toes. Ppl can lose limbs from improper foot care when diabetic!
