I love how Gordon immediately changed his tone when Jeff started to cry. His voice went all soft and gentle and he really tried to comfort him because he was clearly upset with himself. Then after he encouraged Jeff to keep going and went back into the kitchen, there was the chicken problem. But Gordon didn't raise his voice that time... he made a point yet kept his voice at a normal tone because he knew that it was not a good time to raise it. This guy is honestly so helpful and caring to do that and that's not what an asshole would do let me tell you.

That's the reason why Ramsay has my eternal respect and admiration. Not necessarily for his cooking(I haven't been to any of his restaurants, though I'd love to someday) but for his compassion, heart and passion. As harsh he can be, he'll never kick you when you're already down.
@binboda5 жыл бұрын
I really appreciate how Gordon didn’t belittle the guy for crying and instead comforted him when he saw genuine emotion and vulnerability coming from him. It shows that he’s really there to help them, and not to be an asshole to them for no good reason. The truly sadistic people are the ones who keep beating you down even after they break you. It seems Gordon isn’t like that and I respect it.
@samjohnson46265 жыл бұрын
That's how you really do it though. Honestly before I'd even dream of opening a restaurant I'd ask him atleast to go through a menu. I've always said it's easy to have a restaurant in a city it takes skill to have one in the middle of no where. Half is placement the other is your menu, the rest is keeping it clean, staff, turning out the food and beverages so there is fresh things, then it helps to have a band or something with some ads, but that's if it's a decent size place. I live one to two miles from a gold mine, but everyone does it wrong. It needs to be a pub in the summer and a liquor and or cigs store in the winter or a full time brewery that serves food in the summer. I'd do it if I had the funds.

The episode with the twins was one of the most wholesome in the series. They weren't arrogant like 90% of owners, they lacked self-confidence. Which lead them down a spiral of things getting worse and worse with little to no willpower to change anything. Gordon could tell pretty quickly what was wrong, and instead of his normal yelling and cursing, he got really supportive and helped them back on their feet, because they were overwhelmed. Theirs is one of the few restaurants that flourished when Gordon left.
