What happened to the 12 disciples? The Skeptic’s Journey is a true story of an atheist’s search for answers over more than a decade. The central figure in this series is highly intellectual and extremely skeptical about anything spiritual, including God. He set out to disprove God’s existence and the validity of the Bible.
After questioning Jesus’ existence in part 4, in part 5, our skeptic decides to research the lives of those closest to the Jesus. He determined Jesus would have needed help if his entire life were an attempt to impersonate the promised Savior and those closest to him would have known the truth.
The skeptic didn’t find any evidence to suggest his followers were con men. In fact, almost all of his followers continued on in his ministry after his death. And most astonishingly, almost every single one of his closest friends and followers died horrible deaths for claiming they say Jesus alive, after his crucifixion and burial, and for believing he is the Son of God.
Why are these the most disturbing deaths of all time? It’s not just because they are extremely gruesome ways to die. And it’s not just because this happened to 12 of Jesus’ closest friends and followers. These are the most disturbing deaths of all time is because if we take these men at their word, the word for which they died for, then we would be forced to admit to ourselves that Jesus is the Son of God.
In the end, our skeptic is extremely confused. He started this effort to promote science and debunk the myths of the Bible. And now, he claims science has let him down and the Bible is showing him things he just can’t explain.
The video concludes with the skeptic still not willing to believe Jesus is God but wanting to know the truth. He decides to go back to science and take a deeper look at the theory of evolution in an attempt to get his mind off of this research.

These 12 men were killed for believing Jesus was the son of "god". How about the hundreds of millions of people killed by people for NOT believing in God. Why would something that loves us so much not protect his believers. I'm not saying its wrong to believe in God, everyone should have their own beliefs. However, why do Christian always leave out the horrific things that have been done by followers. Why would God punish those people for telling others in his name.

Jordan, God is not punishing his children when they experience persecution. In fact, Jesus says, “if the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.” The New Testament writers such as Paul and Peter were very clear that persecution will take place and we should NOT be surprised by it (2 Timothy 3:12, 1 Peter 4:12). In fact, Jesus says when this happens we should leap for joy, for great is our reward in the Kingdom of Heaven. There is a real spiritual battle taking place between good and evil and the persecution of the saints is just one visible result of this. However, this world is not our home. Our home is with God in heaven, where we will spend all eternity in paradise with Him. As Paul says, “our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

If you’re not religious, then riddle me this. Where did the universe come from?

@@skrilllfury2120. I'm not here to start any fights, but I'll tell you. The building blocks of literally everything are atoms. Elements. It was always there, and eventually... bam, a star. That star dies and creates space dust with new elements and the space dust creates more stars that are even bigger and die even harder, I guess you can say. Supernovas happen and even more things are created. And eventually, here comes the sun, and what do you know, there is a flaming piece of rock that will be named earth when humans actually come along. So that's what I believe. I'll tell you, I was Christian when I was young. But even then I believed evolution. It seemed logical to me. And God is all about trust and accepting him. And to him, time isn't the same as ours, as I do believe it says in the bible. It does say seven days the universe was created, right? I'm sorry if I'm wrong. I haven't really read the bible in a long time, so I'm going off of memory. But anyway, I always thought that God made the universe through evolution to throw people off, essentially. Now I don't, but I genuinely believed that for a long time.

Yes, Jesus is real historically, presently and for all eternity. He is not dead. He is alive and wants to have a relationship with you!

Jesus would think it's ok to not believe in ancient claims with no evidence.

Religion is just an aspect of culture. Therefore they are all equally valid.

Jim Butler all religions cannot be factual since they make mutually exclusive claims. Take care!

@@ChristianityEngaged. You are technically right. At least assuming only one is true. But there are hundreds. But assuming all are just culturally created, they are all technically valid.
