It was explained in the manga that humans have two limits a stamina limit and a life limit. When Daki destroyed the buildings and killed those people Tanjiro got very mad and entered a rage like state and started to hold his breath to go past his stamina limit that's why his eyes were bleeding. If Hanako (his youngest sister, it wasn't Nezuko) hadn't told him to breathe he would have reached his life limit and actually died.

Tanjiro was not breathing in that moment , which made his body’s temperature go up but also risen his pressure. We can always see Tanjiro breathe heavily while using Sun Breathing, but this time he was very still emphasising that he was not breathing, that’s my view on this.

And Daki's creation, which would be the time when Muzan's memories flowed into her body, was at the very least a century ago if one keeps in mind that there was noch change in the Upper Moons for over a century. The more logical conclusion would be that it is an ancestor of the Kamados, most likely from a long time ago when sun breathing was still known.(The fact that he's wearing hanafuda cards as earrings would place it somewhere in the last 350 years before taisho.) That was at least my conclusion at the time.

Yes, that one millisecond would have made a difference. He was literally about to die. If he did not stop and breathe. That entire fight, he was not breathing the entire time. He went way past his threshold and he was slowly ending himself! had his sibling not come and told him to breathe in his conscious. He would have died during the strike to daki as you saw, he immediately blacked out once he started to breathe. That's how far along he was. He wouldn't have made that strike and lived

It's not about "not remembering to breathe" it's not like he could have kept going at that level if he just happened to breath. It wasn't an adrenaline rush. It was straight up hatred and rage that was pushing him to the point of destroying his own body. Ignoring every red flag, every signal of pain and fatigue that the body sends out to protect itself. He was about to burst his heart from elevated blood pressure that had already caused the vessels around his eye to burst and bleed out his eye sockets, and simmer his brain from elevated body temperature.

That, combined with Muzan's age and how few demon slayers seem to know about sun breathing and how in season one they say that no hashira has encountered Muzzy. If the dad used to be a demon slayer, how come the master and none of the hasira (current or former) knew about him? And if he was outside the organisation, where would he get a nichirin sword from? But I guess reacting and making commentary as you watch does mean you will miss some tiny details.

What happened was explained in the manga but not in the anime so let me do the honors. Basically tanjiro went past his stamina threshold, due to his anger, which is shown by his blood vessels popping in his eyes. If all humans can do this, that means they can defeat all the demons so that is not the case and it is once in a lifetime thing and tanjiro achieved it out of pure anger. The guy is a menace. Nezuko however is a different story as she is one of the only demons next to tamayo to escape muzans grasp and has given her some extraordinary powers that are not explained yet. You will see.

About the Hinokami Kagura techniques' names, I think it's not stated anywhere, but it's implied that his father taught Tanjiro every single technique, not as a fighting style, but as a dance coreography, just like he was doing. Now that Tanjiro has experience with fighting with breathing techniques, he found a way to apply the Sun breathing to fighting, but he's still pretty clumsy at it

Spoiler warning! I wouldn’t say that she is, her whole persona is centred around her brother, which provides Gyutaro’s story with much more sympathy and reason. If we take her separately from her brother she is a very plain and boring villain, but when we take her brother he is just a definition of a good villain, a villain for a reason one may say, but put together they create a really sad story, which actually is regrettable and fit for a demon. So, Daki is not a good villain without Gyutaro, but with him, they create an amazing villain duo, that’s for sure.

It's a little thing but I do like the author's point in having the scene of Tanjiro nearly killing himself in the fight. The author says during the scene in the manga "If people were able to win with the emotion of anger alone, demons would no longer exist in the world." I mean at times in the series it feels like a bit of a mixed message, but the general sense that it's not enough to just get angry and go further beyond your limit to defeat an enemy in a way that feels sort of archetypically shonen hero being sort of dropped in is something I like. There's no shortcut to overcoming your own weakness just because you really really want to in a moment.

This episode is full of incredible moments: - Tanjiro getting angry because Daki tramples on people's lives without any remorse. - Muzan's cells remembering a legendary man who's similar in appearance and ideas to Tanjiro. - Nezuko saving her brother from certain death. - Nezuko literally stomping Daki because she's starting to let her inner demon out. The reason this ain't top 1 is the existence of an actual movie (Mugen Train) and a double episode (that you will get to watch later).

You may have forgotten since this was quickly glossed over. Seijiro's father mention that those earrings symbolify the Sun Breathing clan. So the person we saw may be Tanjiro's father, or one of his relatives.

The memory comes from Muzan´s blood. If she´s been an upper rank demon for centuries, that blood was given to her even earlier. Which means, that was not Tanjiro´s dad. It is sure his great-great something, but not his dad.

Without spoiling DS, i can confidently say that Luke refer to Mugen train to see how Tanjiro's father actually looks like. The man we always see was a demon slayer but that is not Tanjiro's dad. Also, people's clothes are a good key for their identities. Please keep that in mind for DS.🎉❤

I get that Demon Slayer doesn’t have the most complex plot (there’s a lot of flaws from what I’ve seen from criticisms) and it can be pretty generic but this anime has a heart. I’m so tired of people saying we just watch it for the animation. The heart of the story is one of the biggest reasons that sold Demon Slayer to me. Animation is ONLY just bonus points. Demon Slayer knows what it wants to be and it has accepted that. That’s what sets it apart from others. This is just MY opinion.

Another awesome epic battle episode! And we are just getting started! 🔥Seeing the struggles that Rengoku's Father had been dealing with since his wife's death makes more sense how he was, but to see him write a letter to Tanjiro about it is so heartwarming. Tanjiro really always sees the kindness in people even when they are at their worst if it wasn't for his stubbornness Rengoku's Father may never had changed. Although Daki the Demon he's fighting now might be the one exception seeing Tanjiro get bloodthirsty is kind of insanely epic! Lets Go Nezuko! 👊Your reactions are the best, Luke!
