It was my godfather who discovered Sarah Harpers body in the River Trent, in Wilford, Nottingham! Before my godfather passed we had multiple conversations about it, he initially thought it was a doll floating down the river but soon realised it wasn’t! A few years before my godfather passed he was contacted by Nottinghamshire Police asking if he would be willing to travel to Newcastle to give a statement in court for Blacks crimes! I was his carer at the time and was going to travel to Newcastle with him when he was requested to go to court! Unfortunately, my godfather passed before then, the whole ordeal really stuck with him! Finding Sarah’s body changed him and his outlook on life! He had some comfort knowing that Black was in prison but he always talked of that tragic day!

What's setting the watch means? Bella didn't explain and if you look closely at her face when she says that ,it seems like she's confused too. Also in the beginning it feels like all the murders happened in U K but then it states that the first story is from Ireland. The killer is from Scotland. But Bella says he says he's a U.K.criminal. A bit confusing. However, I do like Bella's channel though

Just in case Bella or anyone watching doesn’t know, the correct terminology has been updated to “child s*x abuse material” rather than “child p*rnography” to better describe the crime and to protect victims from further traumatization. (Source: ECPAT International’s 2016 terminology guidelines) As always, tysm to Bella for covering these cases with intention and compassion. ❤

Great job with this Bella. I live in Edinburgh, so can relate to this. I also lived in Melrose for a while which is on the River Tweed and in Enniskillen in Northern Ireland as well. It just made it hit a bit harder. Computers and connectivity changed so much about the way we are able to crack crimes by predators like this. Back in the 70s and 80s, a guy like Ted Bundy could just drive to the next state and stalk for victims, and in the aftermath, nobody would ever know that these murders were related to what he was doing in some other state. He could roam and kill with near impunity.

It happened every time she visited her grandmas house. Unfortunately, her grandma was a foster mom for lots of children… Who all suffered the same fate. When the foster kids complained, nobody believes them. And idk why but my gf denied it was happening. When she was 11 years old, she had a slumber party (this was in Placer County) in the morning, all of the girls are missing… Years later, they were found to be chopped up in the footpath behind the house. I believe this is still unsolved. Her uncle is now a grandpa and has never faced any charges

I have heard in the past that even inmates in prison do not tolerate child molesters. I hope that was the case for this man. what became of the young girl who survived (who was found in the van when he was finally caught)? is there any information on how she recovered the incident? I have done a little research and found that even this child's father's name is not disclosed. I respect that. I am just curious how victims learn to overcome such horrific experiences. and anonymity is certainly one way. bless the man who had the where with all to act immediately.

I've never understood why concurrent sentences are considered of any use. If someone is imprisoned for a crime, that's what they're doing that time for. If they're convicted of something else, that should be added to the tail end of the existing sentence. It's far better to keep someone in prison longer based on their number of crimes than just to say "oh well he's in for 3 now" as if it makes any difference to his life whatsoever beyond the initial sentence. Bizarre.
