The fact he enjoyed Carl Jung is fascinating and important. I love Jung's views because he seemed hopeful in humanity and empathetic. It seems Charles liked him for those reasons too. Scary genius how he took advantage of those teachings; he probably learned about the emotion of empathy through a textbook rather than ever feeling it.

it’s not really scary genius.. now is it? Therapists and psychiatrists do just that, they learn about the mind, but the main difference is, he used what he learned to do what he did.. and the others do it to help. he didn’t care about his views. He cared about the literal psychology that would help him better lure people in and control them.

Miz k you can’t differentiate between “criminal” and “criminals”. So read my comment again. Besides, there are many criminals that have never been caught anyway, a quick google search or watching the news for once can show you that. You actually think every single criminal has been caught? Don’t make me laugh. Plus I’m currently doing my LLB in law and we will soon do our module in criminal law which I have been revising for. I’m also doing an internship at a solicitors office that deals with immigration and criminal matters. Trust me I‘ve read tons of reports. Whether it’s the US or UK, there are many criminals on the loose.

There are multiple possible reasons for him saying that. Maybe it was a lie, in an attempt to better his public image. It's typical for antisocial people to make excuses for their actions and shift the blame to others. Even if it's not actually effective, it's an instinctive reaction. It's quite noticeable in interviews with notorious serial killers with psychopathic backgrounds, like Ted Bundy, who once blamed pornography for making him into the man that ended up killing more than 30 people for fun.

"psychotic" and "psycopahtic" are completely different things. Psychosis is a disengagement from reality. Anyone can experience a bout of psychosis. Drugs can induce it. Severe trauma can. Schizophrenia. Psychopathy indicates that someone cannot feel empathy at all. Totally different.

I am a Vietnamese, suprised that my grandmother knew this man, I saw his picture with my grandmother, she was suprised when she saw this video, she said was so shocked that she was still surviving now, she lived in the same neighborhood with him and always heard his scream. The picture was taken when they were having a somethign they call "Welcoming party" for the new neighbors, she never saw him after he moved away, but saw him running sometimes around the neighborhood. "He was good looking and is intelligent" that's what my grandmama said, I was so shocked.

There is nothing to admire about this guy. Stop trying to encourage idiots to do the same by making them think anything like that atrocity is admirable. The best one can say is that he is a big waste of potential. He could have been so much. He is good example of a sutiation which could have been avoided with good parenting an non-backwards social systems.
