It would make more sense to monetize the effort and resources required to artificially create a microscopic quantity of it. They do make Californium at the Y12 facility in Oak Ridge TN. They take neptunium and irradiate it in a very high flux nuclear reactor that successively forms several heavy isotopes like Berkelium and Fermium on the way. Needless to say the process to refine it is tedious and a bit dangerous.
