I'm Singaporean and honestly I think NTU isn't that expensive relative to other local universities here in Singapore. Maybe it's very different for foreign students but for our local students, government subsidies actually make it pretty affordable for universities like NTU and NUS. For instance, as a NUS student I'm paying about only SGD8000 a year. I'm sure such subsidies are available in many other countries as well for their own students, so maybe it'll be better to compare figures paid by both local as well as foreign students when deciding on a list like this. Just my thoughts, cheers!

I study Undergraduate Robotics Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, known for the best RE program in the world but MIT Mechanical Engineers do still have the upper hand prior to experience compared to other majors there and higher Typical Annual Salaries after graduation and if he wanted to focus on robotics that'll be more time and money, unfortunately they don't offer robotics as an undergraduate major, but for graduate level they offer is as a path, it's also fairly cheaper than MIT too, nonetheless congrats to him

Go to Philippines and study here. It's free! But there are universities with tuition fee but I assure you it's not that expensive and the education is really good. The Architecture program in Oregon is ranked number 1 in the USA. University of Oregon's Architecture program costs over 50,000 a year. There are flight technology degrees that cost over 50,000 a year, that doesn't compensate for all the flight hours that may be required , plus instrument ratings and misc. I think there is one in southern Oregon that costs over 250,000 to graduate.

It is always differ from student or a person whether he or she will study hard and take the opportunity to study there or just go there just to brag someone else or other people because they study in a prestigious and well-known university.
