I love this method on really trashed floor mats. I watched a video who detailed at his house. He had a large piece of plywood painted white that he clipped the floor mates too. So when you rinsed then out, you could see all the nasty dirt coming out. Haha my favorite part!

I just did this but without APC or a drill brush and it worked just as well. I tested both with and without APC + a drill brush followed with a gas pressure washer. Without gas you may need the extra help not sure.

Good job. I prefer to use an extractor, as it just pulls out any dirt or grime still left in the mats. This method is great too, especially for people who don't have an extractor.

I have found that the wilson auto detailing drill brushes, at least in my opinion, with the white drill brush, the bristles have a tendency to fall out.

Get yourself a folding table, to save your back and to have a clean surface to clean your floor mats on. Invest in a couple dewalt 60v flex batteries. Game changers.

i see that some Auto Detailers ( AMMO NYC) tell not to use APC for cleaning floor mats because if we get in the car with wet feet it would activate APC and make it stain the mat. Also i see that Daren form Auto Fetish detail is using APC for cleaning floor mats. What is opinion about that?

Can you get through a whole car on one drill battery? I I just got some drill brushes and still have a cordless drill. I found a corded drill for $25 on amazon.

yes ofcourse you can get the whole car done with one battery :) just make sure the battery is fully charged before you start on the car. Corded drills can be a bit of hassle especially when you have to keep movie the wire everywhere around the car. I own a corded and a battery powered drill so I find the battery powered one very easy to work with.

Don’t even need a drill brush when using a pressure washer and APC. Those two alone takes out 90%+ of all stains. The drill brush is not even needed here.

I not only agree but I just did some destroyed mats with just the pressure washer alone and tested it against using APC and a drill brush before hand and it did just as well. It was a gas pressure washer though.

I use this method as well....Just for FYI, if you want the cool looking lines in the floor mats this is the best time to put them in the mats. As the carpets dry the lines will last longer. I also hang mats up so the water will continue to drain out. Really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.

Can I use a water proof shop vac as a make shift extractor ? Also , will the " hard " drill brush attachment cause any damage or pull any fibers out of the floor mats? Great video , thanks

d j you do those first then leave it in the sun for the durations of the time of the cleaning of car, they will be dry an smelling fabulous brother

Yeah, I don't know about those mats being dry in an hour like he said. If he used a wet/dry vac to suck up the remaining water and left it out in the sun, then I would believe that. But soaking those mats like that and just brushing off the surface water...I'm not sure I believe him. Those mats are probably gonna be damp and will smell like mildew.

@@AllAmericanGuy01 Absolutely correct. It DOES NOT take one hour to dry soaked mats, it takes around 4 to 5 hours of strong sunlight to dry.

Use extractor to remove water from floormat. Takes forever to dry otherwise.

I do this to my boat carpet all the time. It removes everything and it's way worse than floor mats. I've had fish guts and blood removed without a problem. You don't even need to agitate it with the brush. The pressure washer and soap does it all. And use the yellow tip.

Instead of flushing the mats with tons of water, wouldn't it be better (and faster?!) to take a vac for taking the APC out of them? After that you can always flush them a little. Apart from this, i like your channel, thumbs uP!

Thanks man and great question! In this case it wasn’t about ease necessarily as it was the results I wanted. This high pressure flushing got me to the end result I wanted while extracting would not have
