The odd symbol seen at 18:49 is supposed to be an ancient slavic symbol similar to the norse runic alphabet but i have not found which slavic god that symbol is for yet edit: the sbol is chernobog the black god of misfortune associated with death and darkness second edit the symbol on the hand in the forest is most similar to the "turkish evil eyes" which are blue eye symbols hung from trees made from glass i dont know much about slavic runes but ill find out what each one means as i watch

i think on 7:53 in the video the say "Да поможет вам Перун" which means "May Perun help you". Perun (reads like pe-roon) is a slavic god of thunder and war, if i remember correctly, and was considered as a highest god for a long time, like Zeus. Also, on 12:40, another slavic god mentioned - Veles is a god of crops, harvest and overall wealth. So it seems authors r just taking some inspo for lore building from a slavic mythos.

8:00 Iirc it's Perun, who's basically a slavic variant of Zeus. Magnitoshakhtinsk seems to be taking place in a timeline where slavics never rejected or came back to paganism that was prelevant on the territories of Kyivan Rus before 988 (on 988 most of the citizens got baptised by the king Vladimir the Great) (sorry for the historic rant, just got a bit too nerdy) 12:37 Veles is another god from slavic mythology, in fact, Perun's nemesis, who is regarded as the god of stock/animals 18:52 The voice says "mgla" which is basically fog. From what it looks like, I assume it's some sort of an "opposition" to the MS' government, judging by the mysterious name and the symbol (I haven't searched it up yet). Perhaps, the Velles believers from the Hiders vid?

At the 15 min mark you mention a creature called a beanpole and say the expression doesn't translate well. I was actually called stringbean in some of my university classes in the USA because i was tall. Apparently bean pole is also a rare way to refer to a tall person in America. TL:DR i think Americans actually have that same concept of a lanky beanpole guy but they call him a string bean instead.
