it is my fav long ammo rifle alongside the ironside due to it having 20 bullets, plus that insane fast 3 round reload and the ability to change ammo type makes it very unique

The Berthier used to be really good because the ammo pick up rate was 2-4 before the ammo change, which was really strong vs Mosin/Lebels 1-2. It also re-bolted faster than the other rifles at the time. Ammo change + Krag completely overshaowed the Berthier. Which is a shame since I prefer the skins on it and its enbloc clips are slick and quick. A 6 round clip varient might go hard

The weapon used to have the coolest unique long ammo feature in the game, where when you split ammo types, you’d get a bonus 3 rounds of your first selection. When they abandoned that, I cried. Used to be part of my main loadout for solos…

@@drfrankendoodleBerthier is the only non singe shot weapon has two ammo slots in Hunt, which means if you swap ammo with a non full clip you will retrieve ammo without losing any even you don’t have bulletgrubber perk.

I feel like I'm going insane the last few days. I watch videos of people playing and having these really fun gun fights. Meanwhile, I'm in some of the wildest lobbies where the nano-second someone shows up on my screen, I'm getting my head blown off. I even counted last night and died 16 times in a row, all to headshots, most of them being instantly, despite me moving, juking, jumping, etc. I have no idea what's going on, but games the last few days have been absolutely miserable.

If you see my comment Hornet. I miss you playing the Winfield (compact ammo) so much. It's my favorite gun I love it but unfortunately it doesn't love me back. My eyes hurt looking at the iron sight of it. The front post is too thin and unnecessary long, I usually end up shooting just slightly above the enemies' heads it could have been a headshot so many times LOL.

I think it's tied with the Ironside for most forgotten. Both have some merits but are just outclassed by the current golden boys of the game.

Crytek's balancing of long ammo guns has been so lazy, most of them just need a bit of price tweaking. They should lower Berthier to a flat $300, Mako to 320 and increase Krag to 390. Mako needs the same reserves as other long ammo. Martini is definitely the most forgotten rifle, it'll be funny when more people use it with Fast Fingers than the Ironside.

@@bb-sw6ur They've just been buffing the Krag more and more while making the Mosin more expensive. At this point its less about usage and more out of spite of the Hunt history of popular guns, just like how they keep nerfing the Uppercut despite the fact it was already made pointless with 1896.

mako has 15 rounds, 6 in the rifle 7 in reserve (or maybe backwards) but it has the same amount of ammo as the mosin and lebel, its just easier to use all your ammo

I haven't personally tested this, but it would make sense if any global illumination setting above low would improve visibility when looking through windows. It basically makes light bounce around more. In the example at 03:00 it looks like light from the windows is hitting those wooden beams on the ceiling.

just make sure ur global illumination is on medium or higher on low its very dark , also change gamma to at least 1.10 it helps

The girth-ier has always been my favorite. Not sure exactly what it is but I land shots better with it than any of the other long guns. Plus riposte variants are goated, new skin for it pls.

Berthier is actually better than Lebel imo. With Berthier you dont die of Krag between shots and you don't die of old age while reloading

I have a 1440 monitor and watch in 1440. I tried playing with the same visual noise, but it distracts and plays in the opponents' favor, but maybe there is some benefit and I should retrain?

Idk if this is the same visual noise you're talking about, but it can happen with vegetation if you leave lighting quality on medium. Look at RachtaZ's latest video on PVP settings around 5:46

In general low ADS and very fast un-ADS sens is preferred since your ADS shots are stable and then you can quickly turn your head 180 after a shot is fired. He uses 800 DPI so his settings are all in the 0.6 range other than his un-ADS

I think he, like many other streamers play on lower settings since it gives you a slight boost in seeing things earlier. I got the game maxed out and the game looks wonderful, no flickering or buggy lights/textures like this there
