The Italian Freccia IFV is by far one of the most useless vehicles I have ever played in War Thunder. The Spike missiles are absolutely terrible, but very funny when they actually work.

6:45 Fun Fact: Gaijin acknowledged the BIG issues with vehicle having 0 grip to surfarces, so they said they made it so vehicles don't slide sideways, because a heavy object shouldn't behave like that. Things is, they didn't fix it. They lied. Like in A LOT of things they say they fix they actually don't.

Fun Fact : You can use Spikes at CQC. The lock system still works at closer ranges and you can still fire the missile even if the target is within 10 meters of the player. You just need to make sure to turn your turret slightly to the side, where the missiles won't need to make a deviation on it's trajectory to hit the target (Since spikes will prioritize the middle/front of the tank when hitting).

I remember seeing everyone talk about the qn506 and how OP it would be with fire and forget missiles but with the first video I saw of them I knew they'd be mid because you cant aim them. Fire and forget works IRL because you just need to pen the tank and its done, in war thunder though you have to kill all the crew or detonate something so just penning something anywhere isn't good enough

I've had the best success using tanks like this by selective spawning. Only bringing them out on maps where I'm confident I can get long range open use of the ATGM's, or in certain maps where I'm just happy to go CQC with the auto-cannon. Trying to use it as a primary spawn on every match would make me insane too.

I tried playing that vehicle and other heavies at that br and it’s mostly uptiers. If you play 7.3 you are more likely at least to get a downtier. Out of the 15 games I tried at 7.7 only 2 were at 7.7. The others were 8.3 or 8.7

Sometimes the missile will just completely troll and constantly miss a target that is right in front of you and not moving but equally it has times where you can fire it through like 50 layers of trees at a target you cant even see and it just one hits. If you're a gambler this tank is for you

You should definitely try the M42 contracero, it’s incredibly good (if you have enough ammo). I’ve killed T-34s and Shermans from the front at close range.

I have 140 battles in the Freccia since it came out. "Let's fire two just in case", "That's not going to hit but I just wanted to fire them at something", "Please lock", and "I'm sliding down the hill". All of these are exactly how every round of the Freccia goes. Trust me. It never gets better. The lock is wonky, the air tracking isn't great, the traction nerfs to wheels are HORRIBLE and you accelerate slower than Russian MBts and you fall off small hills etc etc. Anyways. Italy now has three 10.0 IFVs with basically the same gun, and they're all bad now. I don't know what Gaijin is thinking.

You should take the 15cm sIG 33 B Sfl or the Brummbär into 10.0 BR at least. But use sight adjustment and lob shots at enemies from the spawn zone. I usually use the cap zones to estimate the targets distances. It's always so fun and satisfying to get a kill bby lobbying one of the slowest shells in the entire game over the landscape and hitting a BMP or Rooikat.

The Spikes only really work 100% of the time when they attack with an arc ,from the top down. But i'll bet Gaijin will update the Spikes and the bugs that come with it. I saw a clip on youtube shorts when a spike destroyed a tank after 28 sec after firing,really long range. Till then it should say= Sikes! when you hit a target. lol

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't, by subtracting where it is, from where it isn't, or where it isn't, from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance sub-system uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is, to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position where it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event of the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has required a variation. The variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too, may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computance scenario works as follows: Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is, however it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subracts where it should be, from where it wasn't, or vice versa. By differentiating this from the algebraic sum og where it shouldn't be, and where it was. It is able to obtain a deviation, and a variation, which is called "air"

It's a bummer fire and forget missiles are so utterly awful in this game, since they would be genuinely useful in a ton of situations. Plus, like you said, it's not like they're anywhere close to being this bad IRL. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, although i kinda doubt it will.

6:55 from a recent update: _Rolling resistance on various ground types for tracks and wheels has been changed. Rolling friction influences gaining speed and limits maximum speed on weak ground types._ _Rolling resistance of tracks and wheels on steppes and meadows has been significantly reduced._ _Rolling resistance on weak ground types, such as untouched snow and sand dunes, has been increased for wheeled vehicles._ Now due to how they phrase things I cannot figure out if they made the traction more or less grippy, but my guess is the latter
