I didn't hear the first part we was there only once my son Sammy was 14 so he embarrassed easy at anything we did Dan had a lengthy illness that took him from us in 2006. We plan on going back to Merritta before we left Merritta but God needed him more. That moment the parking lot was full. We strolled along the Ohio River but as we walked Iooked back at the hotel and a horse and cart stood waiting. Spooky and Romantic. ❤

I work at a railway museum where several elderly members passed away during the pandemic. One day while I was working by myself in the maintenance building, I heard someone say "Whatcha doing?" It scared the bejesus out of me, I looked all around and saw no one. When I told my boss about it he said that one of the employees who passed away always said that phrase when he came up behind people. My job site is definitely haunted.

My wife and I stayed there twice. The first time nothing happened, but the second time it did. We were staying in one of the king balcony rooms, my wife's a light sleeper, she was awake during the night and heard the sound of plates being dropped on the floor. I heard nothing but she swears she did. We were nowhere near the kitchen area and when we checked out in the hallway there was nothing to be seen. Weird. Also the next time you are down there check out the Anchorage. It a very unique haunted house, they do all the Marrieta Ghost tours from there. Very interesting.

The volume is low. Beautiful hotel. I'm a sucker for Victorian/Edwardian style buildings. In fact, I'm redoing my bedroom in a Gothic Victorian motif.

The way you describe the town and building to your daughter scares me but yet I’m all oh I need to visit for sure! Watching from small town Pennsylvania 🇺🇸

In the mid '90s I went to school right across the river from there at what was then Ohio Valley College, which would later become Ohio Valley University. Unfortunately it has since closed its doors. I never did make it back across the river to Marietta. I live in the diagonal opposite corner of Ohio, so making a trip there would take some doing and planning.

I love quaint historical towns, sounds beautiful.. I’m from one Williamsport, Pa lots of beautiful historic homes and businesses, home of LLWS Little League World Series ⚾️ a few haunted places I’m familiar with with like an old stone jail that is now a bar/club called The Cellblock, a couples home that was on a haunted tv show.

My uncle and his new bride honeymooned at the Lafayette. Not long after, he was shipped off to the Pacific theater during WW2.

Sometimes, I don't know why it does it but you have to go out of the video and come back in and then the sound will be fine.

I grew up close to Marietta. I don't live in that county, but I can tell you at least 6 different ways to get to Marietta from the Beverly-Waterford area, better than I can tell you how to get around the county I've lived in for almost 40 years. Did you notice the floodline from 1913 in the lobby? You should visit Morgan County sometime.

Remember, when you embark on a quest to discover what many believe shouldn't be discovered or witnessed, as in the paranormal, you'll be forever challenged to believe what you've experienced of course by others but mostly by yourself.

Please get a lapel mic. I haven't been able to hear your videos clearly lately. They sell ones that block wind as well. I love your videos. Just can't hear them lately. Thank you.

I wish there were ghosts, my dad would come and visit me. If you think about it, most houses have had a death in them and nothing ever happens. But it makes for good business if you say your hotel is haunted. Lol 😊 The Lewisburg Inn has always touted that they have a ghostly presence too. Lol
