The Maverick was my first gun, then another maverick, then a Deploy CS-6, then a retaliator then... well I didn't really come back to Nerf until 2019, when I was really into and bought an M6 Magnum and Assault Rifle from boom co, painting them to look like the halo guns. I loved them so much that I took them to my friend's birthday party Nerf war and dominated (no one brought rival so it was kind of a given). After that I got back into Nerf and bought a Prometheus, and now I want to get more rival guns.

The most iconic nerf gun for me has to fall on the Nite Finder or the Maverick, everyone I knew had both of those, and there was one kid that got the longshot when it came out, but he got destroyed at range by everyone until he reverted to the Maverick again. We mostly used the off-brand stuff though, I really liked that side-by-side "shotgun" with ejecting shells, and my best friend at the time loved her lever-action blaster. Fun times...

My first gun was a maverick. I can't remember how old I was but I remember it was my birthday and my dad wan't too happy about me having it. I couldn't even pull the slide back and thought i broke it when i finally managed to prime it. Still have it, still works great, minor scratches on the paint but still good enough for me. I have all of the original darts and are considering framing them.

I had only ever played with off-brand dart guns, until I scrapped and saved and purchased a Nerf blaster that changed the whole game for me: the Longshot. I have years of memories of playing with that blaster with my cousins and friends. Nerf wars stretching into the early morning hours. Being the envy of my friends. Many, many years later, after I was married, I purchased a couple Mavericks for a Valentine's Day gift for myself and my wife. That too, holds a special place in my heart because of it. All this to say, the Longshot and the Maverick are both the most iconic blasters for me.

The Vulcan is the first blaster I recall being heavily modified. Being able to fire in full auto with a 50 round capacity was insanely impressive at the time. For that reason I'd say it's definitely in the top 3.

Ok I know this is controversial, but (to me) the most iconic nerf blaster is the deploy. My brother got it when he was about 6 and I was 8. We hadn't even heard of nerf, because if my mom didn't buy it for us it didn't exist. We felt like the freaking Terminator shooting that thing, we didn't care about fps or accuracy it was a simpler time. And the whole gimmick that it "deploys" might be stupid today but it made us feel like the coolest humans that ever existed

Odd that youtube recommends nerf vids to me, but kinda nostalgic. I remember getting this as my first gun and absolutely loving it, and eventually me and my brother had like 13 nerf guns, nearly all bought with what little pocket money we got. By far my favourites were the barrel break for being a double barreled break action gun, and the raider for it's rapid fire that didn't slurp 6 batteries in one go.

I got a Maverick at a white elephant gift exchange one year. I had had a couple nerf guns as a kid. They didn't work very well and, as such, I had never had a very good opinion of Nerf. Cue disappointment at the gift exchange. When I got it home and tried it, I was immediately like, "Oh! This actually has some punch!" It sparked the beginning of my entire family becoming long standing Nerf fans. While not my favorite blaster, the Maverick will always hold a special place in my heart.

N-strike nitefinder Never found a more precise gun. I use a rough cut usually nowadays because being that the elite darts lack the accuracy and low spread of the whistlers and dart tag darts, a shotgun style front loader is better for CQC

I remember getting my maverick, I was with my grandma and we were in a trailer park type place. We entered one she met with a friend of hers and that friend gave me his old-ish maverick. It was broken upon receiving it, one of the cylinder rods was bent, not allowing darts of any kind to fit inside. I still have it to this day.

#fft I had a few blasters as a kid but there was one which I had a lot of fun with. My friend gave me a barricade rv 10 gear up and I still have it. He gave it to me when the gear up sub series launched. when I moved from texas nerf was a lot more popular where I am today on my street and my other friend ( not the me who gave me the barricade ) had all these elite blasters and I was out gunned so this led me to expand my arsenal with newer blasters. Sadly my friends moved and no kids my age live on my block but I can still invite my other friends to the park for big-ish wars. This is my most iconic blaster I own, but for the majority the maverick is the most iconic blaster and we have a few. Sorry this is so long but I wanted to explain why the barricade is my favorite blaster. I'm still in touch with my friend from Texas who gave me this blaster. Edit: I now have like 25+ blasters I have not counted. Most if not all of my first blasters are gone. My first maverick broke I lost y striker fire kit my tech target eliminator I think got given away and my old buzz bee snipe pistol idk where it is and my recon named and broke.

For me it was the Recon. The original it was my daughters first gun. We now have 278 nerf blasters and are trying to acquire more. We thrift 2-4 times a month and buy from offer up Craig's list just to expand our collection. By the way her second was a maverick and now we have 4 different color schemes and a total of 9. The Retaliator was my first nerf gun, and it was actually a gift from my grandpa to my younger brother, since he was into toy guns. Maverick for me too. I remember watching several Nerf commercials growing up, and the only name and image that caught my interest (as a complete stranger to the brand) was the Maverick. I remember finally seeing one on a thrift store, and for the first time, asking my parents for a toy gun My first Maverick lasted around 2 years before it broke, and I immediately started looking for a replacement. My parents got us 3 different ones: the Sonic Series Maverick, the Dart Tag Hyperfire, and Jolt. It's funny because the Jolt was the strongest one, and the Hyperfire had the most capacity, but we still fought over the Maverick, the emotional response of a revolver gun was just too much

Back in the day I was checking out the toy store at the mall with my parents and then i stumbled upon the nerf section of the store. And i beg my parents to get me a nerf gun, and so they did. And the blaster i choose was the Recon CS-6, and i was so happy to get it because it's something i never seen before. And when we got home i played with it almost every single day and after school, i imidietly played with my recon and also shoot it at my sister because i was a little brat back then. And now nerf has been a big part of my childhood. And even though I'm 16 i still play with nerf guns to this day. The recon is the most iconic nerf gun for me.

Most iconic to me, are the Maverick, Retaliator, and the Stryfe. Everyone’s first nerf gun is a Maverick. So much so, that every thrift store has one. It is so popular and is kind of the symbol of nerf. The retaliator (the recon but more popular) is that first big primary nerf gun. It is wonderful to introduce you into more of nerfs features. And if you look at mods and top ten videos, you are almost guaranteed to find a Stryfe. The Stryfe is baby’s first flywheel. That’s why I picked the three.

I got a double Maverick pack for Christmas years ago, and every time my friends would have Nerf wars, I’d go Akimbo Style with my two Mavericks.

My first three nerf guns were the nigtfinder, the Maverick, and the recon, these three got me into nerf and the Maverick is still one of my favorites.

To me, the most “Iconic” nerf blaster, is the Nerf N-Strike Barricade RV-10, because I had it ever since I was around 2 or 3 years old. I would shoot pots and pans with it, and I recently made it work again after 8 or 9 years.

My first nerf gun was a buzz bee double shot and I remember my cousin having a maverick. This gun was so sick back in the day! I could never afford to actually get it but I always thought they were so cool.

I had to search all of the names for these guns up because GOD it has been ages but there are 5 nerf guns I will never forget from my childhood: The Recon CS-6, Longshot CS-6, Raider CS-35, THE NITE FINDER?!?!?! HOW AM I NOT SEEING MORE PEOPLE MENTION THE NITE FINDER LITERALLY EVERYONE I KNEW AS A KID HAD MULTIPLE OF THESE (I would carry two as sidearms in nerfbattles) and of course, last but not least, the Vulcan.... Completely impractical now that im thinking about it but my friend had one and i was beyond jealous. I haven't thought about Nerf in years but it was such a big part of my childhood, all of elementary school you'd see me outside with Nerf guns pretending I was fighting the Covenant from Halo with my buddy Bryce. We would only actually use the darts on occasion because we never had the patience to clean up after ourselves LMAO.
