@@timesthree5757 kinda goes both ways. No human on this earth can call well done southern soul food boring or bland unless they are getting over covid or just lying, and same thing with well done Italian cuisine. A proper pasta dish is to die for, and so is some crispy fried chicken and collard greens. Both will cut our lifespans down haha

When simple things like fried veggies, grits, gravy, biscuits, and mac 'n cheese make it to top 10, it's not a good cuisine. If you mentioned just TX BBQ in BBQ or even just meat category, you've a contender there.

These are all staples of Dixie folk and looked phenomenal. I love that Alessio appreciates the care and love we put into our food. Our food is a melting pot of our African, European, and indigenous American Kinfolk that made our food what it is today. Much love guys and Happy holidays! 💯🇺🇸❤️🇮🇹 You guys should do a video on Southern Thanksgiving/Christmas fixings that are staples too. Like Sweet potato casserole or Squash Casserole, etc. 💯

This entire video is basically rehashing the entire video the already made about going to The Loveless Cafe. I consider the foods you listed as southern foods, but I have no clue if they're served at The Loveless Cafe. Grits......always savory in the south with butter & salt. Those grits looked a little thick though. My southern mother in law made the best cream corn on the planet. Hers was not as thick as the one you had. And I make the best southern banana pudding with fresh bananas, vanilla wafers, real pudding you cook on the stove not the instant stuff and then topped with a homemade meringue. Then put in the oven to brown the meringue a little. Sooooo good. My favorite food use to be French food because they use a lot of sauces & gravy. But then I married a southerner and his mom was the best southern cook. And now I can't get enough of her cooking.

I’m a Texan and I actually like my grits sweet but I’m prob in the minority. Any other way to do banana pudding than what you described is blasphemous. Had a friend make me some one time with instant pudding, off brand vanilla wafers and cool whip on top. I through it out. That was the biggest slap in the face. And she used to work at a bakery. To this day I think she did on purpose to be an ahole.

Allesio is pro U.S. he's said in early videos that he would never have been able to expand his online business in Italy. He isn't negative or mean spirited on American food items and doesn't ever say "American" dishes are bad, but instead he individually doesn't like it which is always because it's a packaged food item or from a fast food restaurant. Compared to the KZbin & Tik Tok food snobs, Allesio is down to earth on comparing the differences between the U.S. and Italy.
