Is it more effective than spin move? Seems like BTB and spin move are both good moves for changing directions that works even with contact. I happened to practice first spin move and trying to incorporate it in my game, but should I master BTB before spin move? Because i find spin move enough most of the time in these kind of situations. Need your opinions guys

Both are really important. The spin move is used when you want to change directions close to the basket, around/inside the FT line. BTB is used anywhere else on the court. If you're close to the basket - spin. If you're far away from the basket - BTB.

That's a good one too. Got a few good clips of it, gonna use them for a video on counters in general. You can't use it as often because you need more space for it. If the defensive player is on your side you can only go BTB not BTL.

Coach, when i play defense my coach always tell me to keep my hands up just because I'm tall. Like I don't understand. As you said in the defense tips videos i should always go for the ball but he doesn't let me lower my hand

Have seen this situation a lot actually. Coaches telling their taller players to keep their hands up. But keeping them up actually makes you slow and un-athletic. There are times to keep them up (when they've picked up their dribble). But guarding a player who still has his dribble w/ your hands up is crazy. Talk to your coach. Tell them you are quicker and better w/ your hands lower. Show him video examples of taller defenders w/ hands low. Ask him if he wants you to be quick or slow? If he doesn't allow you to play your best defense you should find a new team. Or just let your man go by you again and again and see what coach thinks about that.
