I've been watching a lot of Inkscape tutorials and this has been one of the most helpful so far. Good speed--if I missed something, I can go back and review what I didn't catch the first time.

Thanks for the nice vid. Really liked the fast pacing actually. Other videos seem to take 10 minutes just to explain how to make rectangles... The only time I had te rewind was when you used the dropper and fill the rest of the gradient. How did you do that?

Nice paced helpful video. Improvements: 1: Stop repeatedly saying the totally unneccessary phrase 'go ahead and', 2: 'Not very useful' -> 'I have not yet worked out what this might be useful for', 3: 'All you need'... -> 'The key features I have learnt and found useful'.

@benjaminfailor56045 жыл бұрын
Go to Inkscape. Create object. Go to Path > object to path. Create text. Holding down Shift key, select both the text and the path (your circle etc.), then go to Text > Flow into frame. The text will be inside the object, and will conform to it.

do you have a video on how to erase background image(example I have a body silhouette and I want words over it but someone the body is in the word how can I erase just a small part) thanks
@starhopper45878 жыл бұрын
Photoshop might be better for that
@mwarnken12348 жыл бұрын
indeed
@raggmopp8576 жыл бұрын
Sometimes you don't need to erase. Keep your images on separate layers. Then you can adjust the transparency on the image that you choose to put in front. If you make it 0% transparency, then the images in the back will only show outside the one in front. This works even if you have no color in the front object. You might have to watch another video to figure this out, but it's very easy once you know where to find transparency and layers on Inkscape.

Hey can you help me? Im trying to edit a imported PNG image in Inkscape so I can remove a specific part of it and insert a different image into the file. I've tried to ungroup the entire image so I can select the certain parts I want gone but Inkscape keeps telling me "No groups to ungroup in the selection".Plz help I'm trying to avoid paying someone to do it
@raggmopp8576 жыл бұрын
You can't ungroup a PNG image. SVG is the vector based file you need. You may have to resort to tracing your PNG file. Maybe someone knows of a way to convert PNG to SVG.

Well Lester, I was being a bit sarcastic in my response. But, it is a commonly known term in design, not just in software, so I was surprised to hear his pronunciation. Matter of fact, this is the first time I've ever hear anyone pronounce it that way. But like I began my comment, it was a great video, pronunciation not withstanding.
