Kosem was basically a child when kidnapped. She seems to have had a rambunctious personality, and like most young people, full of energy, a mind like a sponge, soaking up information. This personality saved her in the palace when she was thrown into a new life and expected to be an adult. It’s weird to me how fast she became a woman and suddenly fell in love with the Sultan. Anyway, only strong, intelligent women survive the harem and the palace, so Kosem did well.

Pff the trauma she experiences in a short amount of time. Being torn away from her family, quite a harsh introduction, being bullied, almost being killed twice by reyhan aga, seeing the docter get stabbed and saheste get shot, being beaten twice, almost dying in the dungeon, getting shot herself and all of this was only just a taste of what was to come. What a traumatic life. I wonder if her love for him is not just a succesful version of stockholm syndrome. I get it, if you get captured somewhere unable to escape, ofcourse you look for love in some form, anything that makes your captivity more comfortable. Either ways I'm glad you uploaded her story, that saves some clicking from episode to episode and from scene to scene when I just want to watch her story only.

@@heartsmyfaceforever8140 I a agree. The makers do a really good job at making it seem romantic and it is also what makes the series so charming, the drama is addicting haha. But it really would not have been just pure love, especially not when he didn't even give her a chance to write or visit her family, he defenitely could have. Yeah survival indeed and then she became a villian herself. Not surprised about that in such a toxic environment. Ahmed being so dissappointed when he realised she lost her innoccence. But how could anyonre in that castle really? Later he loved her intelligence when trapping Fariye. I guess he was the real villain and other higher powers behind the cruel ancient laws.

This is a title that should belong to hurrem sultana. I admit kosem was great. She saw the reign of sultan ahmed khan, sultan osman khan, sultan murad khan and sultan ibrahim. She was a magnificent political figure, she also helped abolish the law of sultans killing there brothers when they come to the throne. But my heart will always be with hurrem sultana. She was the first to be the legal wife of a sultan. She began the sultanate. She went from the daughter of a orthodox priest and fiance of a painter to a slave in crimea to a tribute to the sultan in istanbul to the new owner of thursday nights to the mother of a sehzade to a banished concubine to the mother of the sultans only surviving daughter to a banished concubine once again to the legal wife of sultan suleyman khan the magnificent. From there it was a journey of trials until she was haseki hurrem sultan. She set the standard for women. She also posesses a quality the rest of the women in the sultanate did not, absolutely loyaty to the sultan. Even kosem herself once sultan Ahmed died sought to replace the following sultans when the did not please her.

Yeah they changed actors apparently because the first one had issues with learning the language. So they went with somebody that actually could speak the language. Also the hair color change is not inconceivable. I've seen people who were born with white blonde hair have their hair turn to dirty blonde as they grow up If not light brown. So it's conceivable that Anastasia's hair change color over time.
