This is a banger by all means, omg, the story and continuity between scenes, and the quality, outstanding!!! The music exceptional, this is by far the best demo I've seen, congratulations to everyone who was involved!

Brilliant. Imagine if this had been done back in the 80s. Great to see people are still passionate about the beige bread bin 👌

This is what gets me, people were pushing the limits even then, but the things people continue to wring out of the old hardware are incredible. When I think back to the old Christmas Card demo you got with the C64, it felt like the pinnacle, not even the machine's creators could have imagined what it was capable of in the right hands.

The textured spiral is really something! I never had a c64 back in the day, only played through emulation, but still find this outstanding!!

They start your expectations low with a silhouette, then raise them a little with shading, then hit trans warp with bitmapping on the bread bin.

Beautiful demo, the huge multicolored city that appears at the beginning (on the mono-color screen) is truly an impressive effect. This is probably a really well thought out sprite arrangement via multiplexing mixed with bitmap and/or redefined chars.

Mind = blown; face = melted off... For the longest time I've wished that when the C64 came out, someone would have thought of a C64 JoyPad that would plug in to both ports; with JoyPort 1 controlling the d-pad and left trigger and JoyPort 2 controlling the 4 action buttons and right trigger. Considering the amazing things people are creating on the C64 now, just imagine what we could have had back then...

Okay that last bit is just incredible. Demo recordings like this need some sort of indicator of when the disk is being accessed, because I have to assume that it was just constantly streaming sample data from the floppy.

For me the C64 - knocked it up a notch when it came to home computing back in the mid to late 80's, everything was just blobs and pixels before this beast of a machine came out.

And this whole code, graphics, music was in not whole 64kB of ram. 🙂 And code must be so incredible optimized, that all run smooth on this 1MHz machine. 🙂Not mention on how deep knowledge on this machine you need to have. Do do some of this 'shit'.... Like this 'stupid' effect with samples... for today's machines is nothing special. But if you 'put' this simple effect on C64... it was HUGE. How so long samples you put into this ram and playback in real time. fck INCREDIBLE!! And this full color graphic and samples... I can barely believe that this was ordinary C64, without any ram expansion. This graphics only 'eats' almost 3/4 of memory. It's rly bad, that on PC we don't have demos like this.. but how we can? If you don't have almost any obstacles do fight on... Also I recommend check Amiga Demo Scene. It's amazing to...

I was there, graphics were really bad then, but I remember how much I loathed SID C=64 video game music. It was just really bad. I know there's an ocean of people that find SID chip cheezy video game music to be da bomb, but I just never liked it at all. The PC Demoscene stuff hacks are way better too. But I mean, you've got more hardware power at your disposal, so I guess that's an unfair comparison.
