Just compleated a day and one half with brian and david with my sons , no hali or white sea bass or hali but we brought home 6 yellow tail 35-40 lb each. we will go back for hali andWsB next year. an epictrip Brian Norris and capt Davidare stand up people and we will fish with them many more times. There are racks that are sold with stainless steel kabob skewers that hold them just above the grill and you can rotate them when you want to flip them. Very easy with no fish sticking to the grill. Another thing you could try (probably the best option) is the disposable tin grill topper by durable foil. Lots of holes in the bottom to get that grill fire through and grill flavor, but much more surface area where nothing will slip through like on the direct grill, and it's easy to oil it up before placing the fish on there. Great for grilling veggies too, plus super cheap. Wish I could attach a picture of the label for you, but you'll find them even if under a different brand name easily. I'm in San Diego, so I know they are readily available to you.

Seabass don’t release well, kind of a kook maneuver to not move after you limit. Killed a few fish for nothing. Halibut are all over and will gladly eat some squid elsewhere
@fluentfishing2 жыл бұрын
They release fine. They literally catch them hook and line to release into breeding pens. Also, this was the only squid bed we stayed for maybe 45 mins after catching that 40lber.

Good conscience sensible anglers who practice practice and preach conservation and protecting our valuable resources. Dude , know when to say when bro! Ain't no glory in c&r whiteseabass dude. God blesses you with three fish limits and it's wasn't enough for you hah? Just a few more released seabass and you would have achieved your expert KZbinr seabass pro sticker. ..and a seabass patch from the brownie scouts!!😂😂😂 Sleep with one eye open,The bully of church rock is lurking in the shadows.
@fluentfishing Жыл бұрын
Haha what?? There were commercial hook and line boats next to us filling their fish holds, any problem with that? We stuck it out a bit longer after a pair of halibut hit the deck, one being a 40lber. Made an effort to try and avoid the wsb with the bucktails on the bottom but once we saw they were all over those too we left the squid bed. You saying you and your friends wouldn't stick it out a bit longer to try and find another giant halibut? Righttt.
@ultimatejay2 жыл бұрын
just swing those little bass over the rail- no need for a gaff for a 5lb sea bass brah.
@fluentfishing2 жыл бұрын
haha 5lb? Why would you risk breaking off the fish, your rig or snapping your rod? also bouncing a lively fish connected to 12-16 ounces of weight into a crowded boat seems smart.
@kevincrain7499 Жыл бұрын
Nice fishing boy's , those White Sea Bass can get over 90 LBS , but common big boy's are about 20 LBS.
