fun fact, player unknown made the battle royale mod for the dayz mod. that was the first iteration of the modern battle royale games. he later made the battle royale mod for arma 3 (which i sunk an embarrasing amount of hours into) before going on and getting funding to make his own game, player unknowns battlegrounds.

I have actually gotten Arma reforger because of Drewski and it has been one of my best decisions game wise. Within the first week I've met multiple guys that I know play arma with, not to mention how fun the game can be. If the game is going to be on sale again do yourself a favor and buy a copy! (Sidenote: I spent 30+ hours in the game within the first 5 days, buy at your own discretion)

Honestly never played UBOAT either. I know it has way less content than Silent Hunter III but at the same time has better graphics and works great out of the box without mods. I remember first starting SH3 and what an utter pain in the rear it was to set up. If anyone actually reads this thread, I would highly recommend playing UBOAT first and then considering SH3 with GWX (If you want a more realistic U boat sim at a greater scale but with worse graphics) or SH4 (If you want a Subsim set in the pacific theater)

I’ve gotta check that submarine game you mentioned. I’ve been trying to learn Unreal Engine so I can make a PVPVE BR of sorts. The idea is squads of 2-4 spawn into subs and have to eliminate target ships and extract, only several other player subs will be attempting the same. The ship targets would play kind of like the monsters bounties in hunt showdown, with a ship needing to be located then sunk while also being aware that other player subs can descend on you and take you out. The only reason I think I even stand a chance at being able to one day make the game is that the only things visually rendered would be the sub interior. As enemy player subs and the PVE ships would only be seen through sonar and similar devices.

I know that squad has a feature that allows for propellers to be broken without the chopper exploding, but when are we gonna see survivable helicopter crashes in videogames? Some of the most iconic scenes in action military media is the Blackhawk down trope, so I would love a game like Arma to include it, forcing you to plan a rescue mid op, that would be so dynamic and something I've long wished for.

I absolutely think you should try out the game "Nuclear Option". It is a sim-lite aircraft game focused on a war between two small countries, has a lot of interesting and unique scenarios, even more on the workshop, and is an amazing takeoff point into sims for people who aren't quite comfortable with an immediate full dive into DCS. It's a really fun indie game with a banger soundtrack and amazing dev team. I am going to be upfront in that there *are* some issues with multiplayer after the most recent update (devs switched multiplayer infrastructure and it is causing a couple of desync issues currently), but it is still a great game that I recommend checking out!

Oh boy, with the right community this game is the best! Obviously same could be said about the whole ARMA series. Love that they've ported Chernarus as that map has special place in my heart with me being DayZ fanatic. Btw wonder when Reforger is completed and I do hope that some works on ARMA 4 is already being done. Crazy to think that ARMA 4 might still take several years to come.

Just started playing reforger. I played arma 3 for like a week then switched to reforger lol. I didn’t expect the realism of this milsim game. I was on a server named WCS where I was with a squad and I got shot and the way I was uncon for like a minute and the way they were trying to revive me was hella realistic to look! It really blew me away. I’ve been looking for a game that has that tactical and realistic feel on it. Tried tarkovand ground branch. Now I know why arma was called the best milsim game. I’ll be waiting for arma 4 too, but I guess Ifound the game that I’mll put like a thousand hours like what I did with warzone before. It’s really a relief on finding the right game for me

0:03 well kinda because each part has its own nutrient amout things like the the face would differ from the stomach but if it where to be your own leg you cut off there would be no point cus your body would lose weight and nutrients stored in your leg and more but if it’s some one else yes you could eat them and I would be similar to medium game all tho less gamy but there has been lots of cases of people eating each other and it making them live longer (but then again don’t trust every thing I say get your own recipes and research)

Last time I played was when Arma 2 just came out, but mainly the Flashpoint Resistance game (2003?). I had a bad accident last year so I'm in recovery kinda confined to quarters - watching this game-play (and re-watching Generation Kill again)... I will deffo see you guys soon.
