As a retired groomer this was hard. You did a great job. When we groom dog in a neglected conditioned or a stray and use patience it shows we care. I have seen groomer butcher poor dogs who were matted a lot less than this dog. I admire you and your wife for the work you are doing.

I had a Puli years ago. A wonderful dog. Grooming is tedious but JD looked beautiful. His cords were separated weekly to keep him groomed properly. I loved that dog.

OMG! What a hard, hard groom! It could not have been done without sedation! Poor dog! No wonder he was snappy and aggressive! Massive, massive mated hair. So heavy! Thank you for helping him!

Sedation was a good idea for you and the dog. Just seeing how matted the dog was it would have been too painful a process awake. It maked it safer for the both of you and the quality of the groom is excellent as always. Keep beeing the change you want to see in whe world. You made such a difference to this dog. I actually couldn't work out which end you were starting with.. An all over cage of matted hair. Not ideal re sedation but sometimes you have to for the safety and comfort of the dog and safety for you. Well done. Wee tip for gloves when you need to change them, use a little bit of talcum powder on your hand as if you were applying hand cream. Gloves should be easier to put on but maybe a bigger size would hp you to. Just remember to give your hands a good wash to get talc and sweat off your hands. Thank you for showing this poor neglected dog.
