@reuvenlev4798 Жыл бұрын
This is simple.. you recorded on a tape the full song in 1984 then you moved on to cd, mp3.. and so 30 years later when you start to digitize your tapes.. if you didn't write the name then, you may not be able to remember it... By the way, if the song was from the 70's or earlier, it would have been easy to remember, but the song was recorded when cd was already in the market so people didn't listen to tapes very often anymore.. I believe the song is made in Germany or Austria.. I stayed in Switzerland from 1982 to 1987 and recorded 100 Cassettes from radio stations and this song is not on any..

@czowieknuz75075 жыл бұрын
Its funny because as it was only played on a radio we actually dont have too much stuff... to analyze, in a classic way. We can only look around, think and ask but we will never get something like a physical puzzle that archeologist are able to connect to each other and get to some conclusion. We're definitely in worse situation with this song than them haha. Funny thing is that - warning, im thinking too much - i assume that as the civilization will get more advanced, just as we are compared to for example ancient Egipt, we will get more and more troubles analyzing more "recent history". Take for example internet and the Macromedia flash Player. I have no idea how it was in USA but here in my country a lot of kids were raised by the games, movies and other content create with this technology - which is basically dead and will be eradicated in next few years. In the future, lets say 500 years in future if theres gonna be any research on this specific period of time then if they will not have it written somewhere that we had such stuff then it could be impossble for them to realize because theres not much to really get your hands on to analyze. Its all in the cloud, everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

It's not creepy, maybe it's just some one off band that put this on a cassette and never sang again. In that context, it makes sense they haven't come forward, they have no idea anyone cares about their whatever song.

Maybe, in a parallel universe, this song has a title, and the most mysterious song in the internet is Despacito here.

Oh gosh, well at least we got a great song to mystify over, ‘cause despacito is trash, this is real music. Also, until an official title is found, it’s fair to call it like the wind for now.

Just found out about this song like 2 days ago and don't know the answer either (of course), but while thinking about it today, another theory popped into my head (sorry if it has already been mentioned). It started with a extremly popular German TV show called "Ich heirate eine Familie" from the 80's which I used to love as a kid. Around a decade ago, my mum had bought all the episodes on DVD and I rewatched them out of nostalgia. What struck me was that, in all scenes throughout the 14 episodes, when they were in a club or the radio got turned on, the same piece of music got played again and again. Maybe two for the entire series. It was just music that roughly sounded like what was on radio at that time. So I did a little digging back then and stumbled across a segment in low quality (maybe from a TV report) back in 2008/09 where a musician explained that some stock music for TV was recorded back in the day that was meant to resemble what was popular in a certain genre at the time. So lower budget TV shows could add this to scenes where a radio was turned on etc. for lot less money than if they had used popular released tracks. Since this song sounds like a carbon copy of so many tracks from the era (including the vocals vaguely resembling Depeche Mode to my ears), this may have been one of these pieces. Recorded only to be played somewhere indistinctly in the background. That's why it's so hard to find a band - there may have been none. If some studio musicians, who usually record these bits, went in and layed down their days' work of recording a track and then moved on, it might just have gotten lost afterwards.

It’s definitely possible. Another theory I’ve been thinking about is it’s from a movie soundtrack for which no official soundtrack album was released. What got me to thinking of this is there’s a song called “Face the Flood” at the end of the movie Invasion of the Space Preachers performed by a group called the Harpoons. While the song vaguely refers to what happens in the movie you’d never be able to figure that out from the song itself that it was from that movie unless you had seen the movie and heard it at the end. I don’t think it’s available anywhere except in the movie. I mean even known artists have stuff that isn’t easily available or has obscure origins, Gary Chapman did Bravehearts for the Ernest Goes to Camp soundtrack which I don’t think it exists outside the movie except on KZbin. Falco’s Jeanny 3 “where are you now?” leaked in 2000 to the internet but it wasn’t confirmed until 2007 that it was from some demo material done with Bolland & Bolland.

@syc 297 movie soundtrack songs can be played on the radio but it may be contained on a movie soundtrack, if the movie wasn’t popular it might not have received a commercial release or a widespread release

@@yrly59e Maybe it was a national production that was kind of popular around those years but it never really got popular out of Germany and since in Germany they're very into national stuff of course they would play a song from a movie from their country.

My mom used to work in the music industry and brought up something interesting. The reason some lyrics are indecipherable is because they likely aren't finished here. She said this is probably a demo tape. That means that the singer would just sing gibberish where there's no lyrics- just to see how it sounds. If this is true, then the actual, finished version of this song may be out there; but it might sound very different. (Different speed, different lyrics, etc.) So this definitely makes the search much more difficult.

She also added: if the lyrics are copyrighted, people should contact copyright offices about the song, rather than djs/stations.
