I see a young man who did not leave his ego at home when going on duty and who was adamant about excerting the power over civilians implied by his uniform. He was on a power trip with a hurt ego. Very unprofessional. And he knew. That is why he lied and came up with trumped up charges, while denying the (obnoxious) woman a PBT. Ultimately she was über-annoying, but she did not speed, she was not intoxicated, she did not put anyone in danger (except herself from getting shot dead) and all that remains of all the charges are 'swerving'. The 'boyfriend' did nothing terrible either, but was terribly intimidated for it (what exactly?). As if none of us ever 'swerve' as she did? I ruined a tyre 2 weeks ago because I hit the curb on a turn. Am I now a criminal that should be tasered? And this never happened to you?

She did not stop her car, "flipped her finger" at the cop, and refused to comply when finally stopped. At any point in the initial phases, she could have shown some maturity too. Ok the officer was drunk with power? what was she drunk with? She seemed to taking people's name, trying to intimidate the officer in the beginning stages of the confrontation...how did she think that woudl defuse the situation--did she really think the officer would be intimidated??.... so the moral of the story: if you want people in uniform to behave maturely to you, maybe we behave maturely with them.
