I think she switched out the beancurd. The original beancurd is firmer and tinted green which explains the dim lighting. But when she held it in her hand cutting it--brighter lighting--it's much softer and less white. You can also tell the texture of it is less firm while it's cooking in the wok.

What's wrong with frozen food? I was always told that is the best to froze vegetables and fruit when they are most fresh and they use them in winter.
@nal85034 жыл бұрын
@@autumnramble I'm talking out of my ass, but I think frozen food might be getting a bad rep because the stuff they freeze for super markets tends to be garbage. I don't see why fresh ingredients or healthy meals shouldn't be good if frozen properly. Similar to how meats are being called "unhealthy", even though all the studies fail to control for animal health and well being (battery farm = unhealthy, organic free range = healthy). I don't think it should come as a surprise that painfully unhealthy "ingredients" would lead to unhealthy outcomes.
@barmizaharioudaki46934 жыл бұрын
So true. Growing up we didn’t have a freezer. Only a refrigerator. There was no need for a freezer because meat was slaughtered fresh and divided amongst extended relatives and neighbours. All vegetables and fruit were growing in the backyard. Ice creams and other frozen foods were never eaten because they weren’t natural. Now everything’s changed.
