i would like to point as well, given it could attest to his own strength funky appears in mario super sluggers as a playable team member, right his bat is his surfboard, and he hits the ball with the flat side you'd think this would give him extreme accuracy at a cost of power, swinging a flat object around would be difficult given the aerodynamics of. well, a big flat hunk of wood but this doesn't seem to be the case! he can swing this flat, dense surfboard at assumably more than 70 miles an hour, given that's an average batting speed crunching the numbers gives us about 41000 pounds of force in that swing, approximate to the force of a *tropical storm* and that's assuming funky's swinging at 70 miles an hour, which is average for a *human* just think what a giant cartoon gorilla could do

There's also DK Jungle Climber, where his airplane is how you travel between islands and he's the one that takes it to each world's extra stage. The only places Funky's airplane doesn't get free access to are outer space (which you reach with Cranky's help) and parallel dimensions (mainly because Donkey and Diddy can obtain a temporary means of dimensional transportation)

It’s really great to get a funky kong episode out of this. His speedrunning potential in TF is a major game-changer, and even besides the MKWii memes, he’s generally a beloved character who was fortunate enough to be brought back in the Retro Studios games. Now if Nintendo would just give us a NEW monke game, thad be nice. Been a brief…8 years or so since the last original one.

In the (superior) GBA ports of DKC, more specifically DKC 2, Funky has a whole ass attack helicopter he likely made himself too which comes equipped with weapons and gadgets which he lends you and is also an experienced pilot of.

There needs to be a game where Funky Kong has the staring role and to justify it since he hates adventuring, the plot could involve all the Kongs being kidnapped and Funky Kong has no choice but to put aside his dislike of adventuring to save them. It should also bring back the Kremlings as Nintendo STILL seems to hate them despite King K Rool being playable in Ultimate since they replaced the Kritter goalies with Boom Booms in Mario Strikers Battle League.

Holy cow. Could you imagine? All grown up, DK Jr being the badass that is Funky? After all, he was only a kid when he saved Cranky. And apparently the current DK isn't Cranky's direct son, but may be his grandson. Would Funky be his dad or his uncle or something? Considering we don't ever see DK Jr save for the odd cameo where Mario babies are playable, this is my new headcanon. Good thinking!

To be fair, guns are so overpowered that the most useful place for an 800 pound gorilla would be in the supply chain rather than on the battlefield. A bear made corporal during WW2 because it could carry do the work of four humans, so with Funky Kong also able to drive the loaded truck afterwards he'd probably do pretty well. Likewise, him being overpowered in Mario Kart makes sense because he's the only professional driver in the game. In other words, he makes them all look like amateurs because he is literally paid to do this sort of thing and they aren't.

Good video as usual, but I’d like to make a small point about Mario Kart Wii; I’ve played the game so much I’ve went through two disks with how much I played it, and you can play the game online still through a fan mod. Anyways, I just was saying you shouldn’t feel too bad about picking Funky Kong online. In MKWii, character choice hardly matters outside of time trials, the thing that really matters is vehicle choice, particularly in real races. I’d actually go as far as to say all *characters* are viable in online races, but all vehicles aren’t. It’s why even though you see a lot of Funky Kong Flame Runner, you still can see a lot of Mach Bike Daisy, just as an example. Still fun to use trash cars though. Oh, one more thing. Though I understand that you’d be remiss if you didn’t mention Funky Kong’s appearance in Mario Kart Wii, as that’s probably his most famous one, but I don’t think driving ability is a very big contributing factor to a character’s strength. Good video as usual though, like I said.
