The true knowledge of devotion is to take our mind to God, not to the material objects.. Wonderdully illustrated by Swami ji how material needs have no end and how they distract us from focusing on God. Instead as a devotee we should desire to only serve God and should not want anything in return. We should pray to Him to bless u with faith, devotion, and self control to remain steady in our Bhakti but should leave it up to Him if he wants to remove any barriers in our path of Bhakti. In our country most of the people have been visiting temples for fulfilling their material desires therefore it doesn't improve their inner growth. Here Swamiji has explained very clearly that why we should not go before God for fulfilling our material desires. Actually they don't know what is Bhakti.
